it has been very hot here too. 96 degrees, which is ok, but the humidity is KILLER!! But, don't throw in the towel, its a SUPRA. Easy for me to say though. I bought mine 16 months ago and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm repainting it now and I'm bummed because I haven't driven it for two weeks...
wow, that was the year I met my wife! I remember the "who could ask for anything more" campaign, along with "You asked for it, you got it, Toyota", but I don't remember this commercial. *sigh* I'm old *sigh*
or do it yourself like I am right now. I will be sprayed Thurs with the base and clear. If you have access to a paint bay, and someone with the right equipment, you can't beat doing it yourself. Cost for me just a little over $400.
WOW, being a child of the 70's, I associate chrome rims with like, Cragers, or Keystones and such. Just because its chrome doesn't mean its "pimp-a-licious". This gives me another reason to dislike the rap culture, (besides being a drummer who hates the monotonous same beat ad nauseum) it's...
yeah, the one from Advance was just a LITTLE too long. I trimmed about an inch off the end, went on real slick. Taking the distributor out is def the way to go. Just make sure you mark the rotor position woth a paint marker for when you put the distributor back in.
funny...same exact thing happened to me today. I replaced a hose, topped off the fluid, went for a spin, bird-cage blinking. My wife says "Is your overflow tank up to the full line?' It was dry, I filled it up, instant fix, and now my wife won't let me hear the end of it. lol
Not really a question, I'm just relaying an experience. My Supra has been sitting while I get it ready for paint. I replaced fenders, doing some body work, etc. So I figure I'll take it for a small run even though its really ugly right now. I put the taillights and turn signal lights back on and...
nice car. The new style grill reminds of a pug though. But I think they're ok looking. At least the "bug-eyes" are gone. Its the station wagon wrx's that I think look ridiculous.
wow, thanks for the inspiration. I am in the middle of doing the body work and prep for my paint job. I'm gonna spray it myself (first time for everything) with my sister-in-laws boyfriend there to help me. After sanding all day it fires me up to see your car looking so nice!
