    terminator salvation

Well, I went and saw it today. I have to say, while it wasn't the best of the series, it was still very good. It didn't disappoint me. I think many fans of the Terminator series realize that the story changes as it progresses. "No fate but what we make our own" as a theory seems to be modified...

    terminator salvation

I've been a fan of the franchise since I saw the first one when it was newly released on HBO. I couldn't have been but 5 or 6 years old at the time. Every movie has shown a little bit of what the war in the future would be like, and that has always been the part that really interested me. I hope...

    funny idea

I have always disliked the Mac scene, but I have to tell you, my iPhone complaints are very few and far between. Mine isn't jailbroken or really messed with. I have a couple free apps, I've modified the background, sounds, and threw some MP3s on it. I haven't even messed with encoding video to...

    What are you reading?

I finished "Rant" by Chuck Palahniuk last night. I think that is the first book that I read in under a 24-hour period. In my opinion it was by far the strangest book by him to date. If anyone likes his writing, you are really going to have to keep your mind limber for this one. As a side...

I have no problems, especially when connected to Wi-Fi.

    What are you reading?

I have had a bunch of idle time at work lately, so my reading has increased by multitudes. My only problem is that sometimes, even with a full night of sleep, I become very drowsy while reading - even very exciting or interesting books. Finished "World War Z" [excellent book, BTW], starting...

    So what'd you do today?

Started reading up on new G.I. Bill provisions, looked up BAH rates for local and semi-local zip codes that are near colleges, and looked up colleges. The contract for my job is almost up [the work is almost done, and no need for renewal - when it's done, it's done], and nobody's nibbling on my...

Anyone remember the movie "Outbreak" Swine flu notice

Swine Flu sounds more ridiculous than Mad Cow. Possible code for Solanum. I sure hope that little Mexican boy didn't bite anyone.

    What are you reading?

"Common Sense" by Thomas Paine. It is very short, and I just started, so I will probably finish it quickly and start on "Diary" by Chuck Palahniuk.

I fail on an epic level

Some people "recover" faster. 1 drink per hour is a rule of thumb. People do not own breathalyzers, so they cannot gauge their BAC level - they can only go by what they feel. When you feel like you are good to drive, sometimes you may not be. How about people who have not slept in a certain...

She gave me her home number?

One place I find texting to be particularly useful is when you don't have a shopping list and need to pick up a few things while out, spur of the moment. Wife texts you a list, you are in business. I HATE having to go back out when I just got home from work. Would rather pick it up before I get...

She gave me her home number?

My wife and I have cell phones, but no home phone. I imagine a college grad with a new job, one with sense who lives at home [maybe trying to save money] and does not have a huge social life, might be smart to not waste their money on something they don't need.

She gave me her home number?

Just go with the flow. Let it be well known that you don't want to be "just friends" though.
