What is the difference between the two motors besides the pistons and the fact that one has a turbo. If I took 2jge block and crank and put 2jzgte pistons and rods in it would it be the same motor.
What is the aftermarket support like for the 1j motor. Are there aftermarket parts like pistons and rods , valvetrain . Shit will I be able to get a timing belt at autozone?

I would like to use something a little higher than 8:4:1 compression. Pretty much for spool time. But I also know that in order to get the power that I want I need boost pressure around the low to mid 30's. I would like to run 9:1 maybe 9:5:1. Would I be able to tune to the same boost levels...
I broke my knock sensor wire. I used a regular wire to fix the broke section of the wire. Now I have a knocksensor code and the car runs like crap. Is there anyway that I can bypass the knocksensor?

I have been a 7mgte owner for 2 years. Been a turbocharge :evil2: for ever. It's obvious that this motor has plenty of potentional. Why everbody that has a 800+ 7m is spraying. 2jz make this power boost only. To my fellow 7m people, where we at?
