The one thing I'd like to point out about the n/a vs turbo war, is that yes, you will be spending a fair amount of money to get less hp than you would going turbo, BUT you have a lot less to be concerned about breaking. No intercooler piping coming loose, no bad turbo seals, etc.

That's still quite horrible considering I dyno'd at 144whp with my 5MGE that only had an exhaust. That means you were only putting out roughly 180hp at the crank.

I thought that I had lost low end power/torque also when I upgraded my exhaust on my first modified mk2, but after looking at the dyno sheets, I was obviously wrong, it was all in my head. 2200rpm 55hp 132ft/lbs stock...

Uh, 147whp is NOT well at all though. edit* and another HUGE problem with n/a mk3s are the weight. Beef up the motor and start throwing useless crap away if you want to run some good times with it. Otherwise, even 200rwhp is going to feel somewhat useless in those piggies.

There was a shit ton of boats left there including aircraft carriers and such. Probably a few car ferries or whatever. I think the movie should have been just a tad longer to explain some of these issues. A good story, good movie but felt kind of swiss cheesed.

Eh... I think the stock 3.90s are already perfect for the car. The poor thing only has a redline of 5500 and it gets there pretty quick. I think 4.10s is pushing it, but don't take my word on it. I've only had three Celicas :)

1985 was THE BEST year for the Celica. HP was bumped up just a tad and it came standard with the 7.5" 3.90. Still was an open diff though, no LSD. All other 3rd gen Celicas had the 6.7" 3.42s

I'm sure it'll get better every year as I become accustomed to how the months should look, what kind of pics are acceptable to use, what people want to see, etc.

Sales are slowing down now but I still sell one or two every couple of days :) I really hope some people get me some snow pics for next year's calendar.
