thats great you do your own repairs. that doesnt discount the cost of the parts though. BTW they require valve adjustments often AND you need to syncronise the TB's too. if you decide to eliminate the load leveling system thats fine. just consider you have to buy the shocks and springs...

My dad has one and i've driven it plenty of times. heres the problems GAS MILAGE. 12-14 mpg repair prices, slightly different parts then the normal e34 mean MUCH higher repair bills Accumulators, car has self leveling and these go bad. You will know cause the rear of the car bounces...

One of the best, if not THE best 4 cyl of it's time. Dont discredit the car beacuse it's "only" 4 cyl. the S14 (m3 motor) has individual TB's and has a very high power/displacement ratio. The car is also heavenly to drive. :love: If you cant tell, I'd give my left nut to own one :naughty:

Finaly! someone else who agree's! Joe said exactly what I would have said! oh and 04+ sti's are great cars. I LOVED mine and really regret selling it. insurance is STUPID expensive though and no matter how I drove it, 16mpg. PERIOD.

the srt-4 is a great car. Tons of underrated power from the factory and plenty of upgrades, even from the factory! Still a car I would consider purchasing sometime in the future! At the end of the day, it still is a neon but a very cool one.
