or dont have a very aggressive clutch setup. Ive heard of ppl making 400+ threw a w58 using an aftermarket pp and stock clutch disk but once they get a 6puck or 4 puck unsprung disk, the harsh abrupt engagement gives the tranny too much of a driveline shock and thats when the w58 starts...

the way i look at it is this, 450rwhp hp and under, stay stock internals 7m, 450hp and ova, get a built 7m / 2jzna-t/ 1jz, 1.5jz, 2jz swap.

why spend money to swap a motor in when all you have to do is change the headgaasket on the motor in your car already, use arp studs trq them correctly and youl never blow a hg again. Keep oil in your car, do regular preventive maintance, and you can run 450hp all day long no problem. So ask...

u should try using rubbing alcohol, It has a tendacy of cooling things off with a quickness. its an old skool drag strip secret to spray it on intercooler, intake mani, etc in between runs. Its also posted here in the dragstrip sticky in the racing section.

exacly. You have ppl making 500hp on a 7m stock internals, with a new stock hg and aro studs, all day long. Its all about the tuning. At the limit, nothing on the tune can be iffy, it has to be 100%. 400-450 also is realy ez to do with a 7m and you be on the limits. Mind you this is a stock...

minimum, they were test of the nx, nitrous and c02 intercooler sprayer, they work on the dyno, i think ppl were averaging a 30hp gain the most on a hot day. but on the track, it doesnt do anything. Ill try and find the article again, So if nitrous isnt doing anything, im sure water really isnt...

500cc will be good for 450, i would use 680's for anything above that just to be safe. the 550cc can do it, but you will be maxing out the injectors

this is so tru, it goes from spraying them evenely to just a fast drip when the nozzle get gummed up. All i have to do is remove the nozzle, spray brake clean and im good to go.

Wasup forum. Im installing a 2step launch control to build boost off the line next time at the drag strip but im having some questions. So you guys that have 2steps with 5spds, are you guys still slipping the clutch when you leave off the line? or just sidestepping it?

outofstep, any information on trying to preload a manual transmisson car? Ive heard of using a line lock, ebrake, etc. I would like to know what is proven to work. I know preloading, will make my tranny, diff, etc last longer, less of a shock. Thanks for the info.

been there done that lol. I just used spare washer fluid assembly i had, works wonders on the street when u light those drag radials up, Nice and sticky.
