that's the pre 89 black is it not?
i have some shots. not sure if they are quite what you want. send me a pm with an email addy and ill send em to ya. they are pretty big so i dont want to go killin 56k guys' connections otherwise i would post em here:biglaugh:
that was the plan, 5m crank and shot peened 5m rods pushing 7m pistons. i beleive the belt order on the 5m crank pulley was different than the 7m. i had a few ideas to get around this, but i was forced to sell the car anyways.
i might re visit this idea again to swap into a nice mk2 in a few...
those are the buggers i was thinkin of. all i could remember was adjuster talking about his problems with it.
i wanted to de-stroke my old motor, just to see if i could do it. it seemed like a fun project and it would be kinda different :biglaugh:
there used to be a company that offered a 3.3L stroker kit for the 7m. i havn't heard anything about them in a long time. if my memory serves me, i think adjuster might have had tried it out. not sure though.
last i heard there was some complaints about the company due to poor customer...
i think we need to have a moment of silence for another mk3 lost in a senseless tradgedy caused by some fool who shouldnt have a liscence. my condolences on your loss. im just glad you made it out in one peice. best of luck finding another one and getting the mess sorted out.
i paid way too much for my old set up. cant remember exactly but it was outrageous. if you check horsepowerfreaks.com, 935motorsports.com or another online store it shouldnt be too outlandish, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-7 hundred tops as a rough guess. shop around and im sure you will...
before coilovers, i used to run koni yellows and ST's. they rode nice and i liked the drop. i just needed to increase the dampening on the koni's but i was too lazy and got coilovers little over a month after i got that setup.
only pic i have at the moment. but you get the idea.
first car was a 90' nissan stanza. it had a scry transmission so it would rarely make it past 60 km/h. it died a horrible death while parked after it was hit by a drunk driver at 2am. it was fun... for 2 weeks... :icon_conf
