wow at 7500 regularly, that's insane but cool. I rev it to 6k occasionally and but haven't had a chance to punch it at around 7k , don't know maybe I'm too nice to my 1j.
Having said that what is the stock clutch system capable of. I am on stock twins with BPU, I have the XTD stage 3 and so far it hasn't given me any signs of problems after 5k miles of dd. It does feel like a stock clutch but with a bit more bite. I do plan on replacing the clutch when I go...
If you remove the cc you need to find another way to ventilate the fuel tank. Ever wonder whenever you fill up for gas and remove the gas cap you hear gas pressure is release. U sure don't want that pressure builds up and blow up. Honestly, I wouldn't fuck with it. It's there for a reason.
The 712's are the Kuhmos cheapest tire. Don't waste ur $$$ on it. :nono:
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position - Best tire for the $$$ and has unbelievable grip wet or dry.
The first thing I did when I got my car after the transplant was check all the ground points and went to buy Ground kit from ebay cost $12.00+ shipping. No grounding problem whatsoever after that !!!
I've never driven a 2J but my IJ sure can run. I agree the 1J has very smooth powerband from around 3500-5000 rpm. I can nailed it at 3rd gear at around 4800 rpm and the sucker just pulls and pulls and those damn twins despite of what you hear bad about it (ceramic pea shooter, smoking, blah...
Yeah I'm aiming to have at least 1khp on my 1J. Uhmm, Maybe a TWIN Holset turbo should do it....LOL.
Seriously though, if 60-1 is too small so what is the ideal size without blowing up the engine. I like to know myself so I know when I go single.
if you're worried about your oil getting cooked by the twins you can use RP or AMSOIL synthetic oils if you're not already. These oils are known to withstand extreme heat temp then again that's a different subject.
Agreed unless you go to the track the cooler helps. You can run a oil filter relo kit, heard it helps cool the oil a bit as it needs to travel through the hose, filter and back to the engine not to mention it will be a LOT easier to remove the oil filter.
Yeah some good pads and rotors will do the job. Don't buy into that cross/drilled shit. I changed my rotors with Duralast rotors from autozone comes with 2 yr replacement warranty and bought a set of OEM pads from Toyota and there you have it. It does its job and works great too.
play the video > http://www.mhtwheels.com/videos.cfm?, U think this will look good on our cars .... LOL... it's the coolest shit on wheels that I have ever seen.
