What do you want to learn about them young grasshopper. Yes I bet the engine in a S2000 would fit in a family sedan, I dunno if it would in a Honda Fit though.:biglaugh:
How about the Elise? Does it have an engine not fit for a sports car? hmmm No I probably wouldn't put one in a Corvette...
Hey dont feel so bad, a lot of engines manufactures use arent a good choice but that doesnt stop some people from supporting them, like Chrysler is a big one that comes to mind.:biglaugh:
I asked you about why you think its a great engine. The best answer you could give me is it makes more hp/tq and some links that show some information. I already stated my opinion that the engine is fine for family vehicles but for a "sports car" they could've done a lot better.
Next time...
Nope sorry never raced one at all. It just furthers myself to not beleive any opinion you have on an engine. Joe this has been the 3.5 specifically, not the VQ in total. A quick check shows what maybe that the 3.5 started in 2000?not 95'
Wow you know how to pull up a page on specs for a car, now explain how they make it a great engine....oh wait its because it makes X amount of horse over another
but all you are doing is comparing an apple to an orange as to why its a great engine. Your taking a 3.5L displacement with much higher compression and comparing it to an egine that is a 3.0L displacement with lower compression.
What credit? I asked you to tell me why it does deserve any credit and you told me because it makes X amount of power....
Thats not good enough reason at all to deserve any credit from me.
Maybe my opinion would be similar if I wasnt going to a college that revolves around motorsports.....
Joe I just at least expected you to just tell me something that was more informational than "it makes X amount of power over this one" for your reason as to why its a great engine.
And what happens to Turbo NA engines that keep trying to develop more horse without additional work?
Why doesn't everyone just use the GE motor? It has higher compression and can make more power on lower boost......
Im not arguing the amounts of HP/TQ it makes that fine. But to judge an engine based upon that solely does NOT make it a "great engine"
Do you know anything about compression? Did you read my post regarding it?
I just wanted to know why he thinks the 3.5 v6 is a great engine.
I found out he thinks it is a great engine because it makes more hp/tq than a 2j in NA form........
I just look at it, that it is the dumbest way to regard whether or not it is a "great engine"
Well considering the 7m was used and designed in the 80's.....It actually did put out decent numbers for its time compared to other vehicles. A "sports car" in this time of day and age should be more "qualified" than just a 3.5 v6
For example of course
