I was not being sarcastic, Yes engine fires are not one to messed around with but jumping a wire with 12v will be fine. In no way did I say you should leave it jumped and you wont have any problems, but for testing it will be fine.
it should fit perfectly fine, its not going to be sitting on the back 3 exhaust flanges. its going to be right in the center. But as far as your DP goes there may be some clearance issues
check your security, when it doesnt want to start get out the car and put your key in the lock cylinder and turn it to the right 4 times. Basically unlock it 4 times, the lights flashing and beeping is your security system going off.
As everyone has already stated, the fuel pump cannot put more fuel in when it will be regulated by the Fuel Pressure Regulator. BTW I have a walbro installed and it does not run pig rich, note I do not have a AF gauge to monitor yet, but I can tell by exhaust.
the wires on mine snapped off from age, and the car does not have a weird idle. But I will be investigating where the difference will happen when replaced.
