When we lean out the a/f around the 4500 to 6000 range the torque climb to about 440.
I am not a friend of lean so we brought it down to rich and sacrifice a bit of torque.
A friend ran 22psi on stock twins for over 3 years then they blew. They took abuse like crazy. So a few quick run wont hurt it.
I ran 19psi for 5months, beating the hell out of it. then I went single.
When I took them off No leak, no shaft play nada.
So don't freak out if you spike or run...
I agree, I read too many loosing their hair to go standalone, when you can make the power with just using the right combo. A Safc does the job and well if you ask me.
PS: I am not starting a Standalone vs Stock ECU with piggyback.
Could be done, I just don't see myself going 70 on the hwy being taunted by a wannabe and me scrolling and clicking for file 2.... not my cup of tea.
I'd rather just push a button and vuola.
Well, the clutch is a 6puck with stock pressure plate. I should of been more specific. I am not slipping at all. I've launch it and it bites pretty good.
And when I do race, I don't tach up the rpm. I'll leave the line right at idle and then catch up.
Kinda nice when you get to take away...
ON AfC, my setting is at 7k is -15, which means I can still add fuel. So yeah I called it a day. I am running stock every thing including clutch. I have a Soarer R154 tranny
We've made far more numbers on these setup.
My buddy did a car last month and made 590rwhp. Same car made 520 with a...
Boost characteristic are just like mines, @ 4k your smile reaches your ears.
And pulls to redline really nice.
What BOV do you have? I have a 50mm Tial and I had to change my spring to a 7psi spring because I was getting the same thing. I had an 11psi and the surge was killing my turbo.
Amen for turbos.... I agree with boost this engine aint diddily.
I have stock ecu with a SAFC. If you look in the settings and scroll down you'll fine the second setting called File 2. When you tune with race gas you input your parameter there, then switch it back to File 1 for pump. I did not...
There is gentlemen on SF. I believe he's making a short write up on this but not sure. There is a setting that must be made in order for it to work properly on the 1j.
I'll contact him today and see if he can give us the write up.
I don't know what you talking about ........LOL
Fine tuned the low 0- 40% throttle. That's where I do my daily driving. So that to me was very important to get it right.
WOT tunning is the easy part. What we did was set it at the lowest boost setting which is in my case 11psi, And tune the...
