You can open the gas lid from the outside and no mess anything up. But i don't think crack heads would take the time it takes to be carefull. good luck on your quest
I'm thinking i will just put a wide band on it, new ic, hard pipes, t-clamps, afpr, and new plugs. i think i will leave the computer stuff alone the car runs like a dream right now and it gets around 28 mpg. I'm afriad if i start to try to mess with the ecu i might get some thing out of adjustment.
just have to agree on a price. it is odd deal, i'm buying it from my dad. we swap cars around some times and we both try to give each other a good deal. But still keep it reasonable. The car a few of you might have seen it is a 1992 Teal 5 speed with around 90,000 miles on it. i know Suprahero...
Check your PCV take the lines off going to the ic and see if there is any signs of oil. that way you can start to get a idea where the oil might be at. The lower ic pipe that goes in the bottom of the ic is the best to check.
I think i might have it, do you have any bad neighbors that might be stealing your gas. i have had trucks at work have this same problem that they started getting around 1-2 mpg and turned out some was stealing all our gas. you might try a locking gas cap that i might make up your fuel problem...
If a car was running that rich would it just foul the plugs. If the injectors are staying open even when the car isn't running the plugs would be to wet to fire. Also wouldn't there be gas in the oil it was just flooding the pistons "wet washing"?
Thanks guys i think you all are on the right page with what i was asking. How hard is it to find a blitz ecu i know the ones for the 7m are about worth their weigh in gold. So i'm guess one for a 1jz is the same case?
Just going to put it out there did you make sure you plug everything back in right. Also check you vac hose make sure you didn't leave one off or switch spots.
Not really wanting to mess with the motor that much to change cams. And i would like not to hack up much of the wiring i might just lookin to a tuned ecu. what is the highest but also safe boost you go one.
I not seen alot on this, but the last 2 supra i have bought as soon as you fill the tanks up the gauge stops working. Is there a some what easy fix for this, it take the car being drove for a few miles before the gauge will start working again. Just thought i would throw it out there
