the only thing different between the mk3 w58 & the mk4 is the bellhousing, your w58 will bolt up as well as any mk3 as long as you use your mk4 bellhousing i believe on sf there is a parts sticky which has all the appropriate cross matched parts (but no the belts aren't the same) i would also...

oh noes *another 1j vs 7m* fix the 7m right she'll pull some power as said above parts are easier...... much much easier (i'm so jealous of the support for the 7m over there) 1j has cool power out of the box reliable in stockish form parts are a pita

you need feeler gauges to check the clearances on the buckets... generally they sound like a TICK TICK sorta similar to injector ticks

is the crank in the 5m/6m and 7m the same crank? we're needing a crank for a 7mgte engine and wanna make sure that a mk2 5m crank will work so... are they the same? Thanks :D
