There's a white pre-89 turbo sitting down the street from where I work under a carport and blocked in by a 1st gen RX7. They both look like they have been there for years. I need to go by and see if the owner will let me take it off their hands. :)
I haven't taken anything apart yet, but I did find time today to pop a battery in it, fire it up and run it up and down the street a few times. :) The HG leak is minor enough that it runs just fine until you try to take it any long distances.
I'm glad I did this because it reminded me how...
Good to see that there is still a decent amount of interest. I'm still waiting for a firm price, but remember the more we buy the cheaper they get so keep the posts coming if you're interested.
While we're waiting, can anybody tell me what the diameter of our hubs are vs the 350Z track model...
It's actually very simple. You need a pair of 300XZ 30mm calipers, a pair of 350Z track rotors, a pair of brackets, and a pair of centering rings.
You need these brackets to mount the 300XZ calipers to our hubs. You need the centering rings to make the 350Z rotors fit correctly on our hubs...
Brackets are ready to go. I just need to get some centering rings done up.
I need a final show of hands for who wants a pair of brackets and rings. Once I have a number, I'll pm you all with exact pricing, and then we'll go from there.

It sure is pretty. :)
I'd like to see somebody comparing a few of the good aftermarket balancers so we can compare price vs. weight vs. performance (underdrive ratio). The BL unit doesn't say anything about underdrive, and since it still uses the stock belt, I will assume that there is no...
Haha I make a few appearences in that video! And so does my first Supra, my old 90 turbo. It's parked near the starting line facing the track next to the white pre-89 facing the other direction.

No harmonic balancer = fail. Fluidampr is one of the only aftermarket pulleys that I'd consider.
Here's an article that you and everybody else considering cheap underdrive crank pulleys MUST read. Remember that this only applies to crank pulleys and the rest of your pulleys will work just...
I apologize that this is taking so long, but I assure you all that I haven't given up yet. My machinist is having difficulties drawing the complex half-circle type designs of the brackets into CAD and we're exploring other design options to speed up production time and cut cost.
I'll keep you...
Haha thanks for the encouragement!
And so you guys know I'm serious, here's an email I just recieved from my machinist:
Working with him is great as he takes the time to experiment and find the best and most cost-effective way to get the job done. I'll keep you guys posted.
Thanks...
