Sorry for the wrong section.
That pretty much has me sold on a 1JZ. Truly, I'll be happy with 400 HP. 500? Awesome. 600? Kick ass.
Any recomendations for where to source a 1JZ from? Tiger Japanese has them for 1000-1100.
Aware that the 2JZ is MUCH more powerful.
More intested in the swap aspects of it. Is one easier than the other? 1JZ's seem to be a tad cheaper(couple hundred bucks).
The transmissions?
Sorry if this is a repost, as I'm positive it is.
Did a search and came up with squat.
If there isnt one of these yet, than maybe its time for one?
I'm doing a swap, just havent decided to go with 1JZ or 2JZ.
Bassically i just want to know the Pro's and Cons for swapping in both 1JZ...
Actually it is. :P Means i dont have to drive like a granma or go back to driving the Bimmer.
Atleast it wasn't a bigger issue than i thought.
Changing the Manifold gasket tomorrow and i will post another vid of the sound. If it goes away, valves. If not, then i need to check clearance...
Its being discussed here:

Idle is sometimes at 20. Sometimes at the lowest mark.
Driving around between 20-40. If i floor it, it gets to over 40, but not for long.
So, the next buys:
4 new tires (all seasons for the coming winter): $240-300
4 new disc rotors and Pads: $400
New rack and pinion: $200
Lowering Springs(Coilovers are too expensive for me at this point, I don't plan on auto crossing or racing this for a long time: $250
Then an alignment...
Is this something a joe schmo can do in their garage or does it take specific equipment?
It seems the oil pressure has been getting better, maybe the channels were sludged up and is just taking awhile for it to break apart? >hopes<
Is it this...
Or just drive it till it goes boom.
Will it last me through winter you think? Drive like 100 miles a week.
Then prepare for the 1JZ or 2JZ....haven't decided.
Leak is coming from the exhaust header and somewhere by the cat.
Atleast its not Lower end yet.
To get rid of that knock, does that mean new valves, lifters, springs? Or Could i get away with just new springs(assuming one is weak causing the lifter to tap)
Heres the vid.
Yes, i know i got an exhaust leak. You can hear the sound really good at the last rev.
and now for your viewing pleasure:

Does it go into the head or into the right valve cover?
Went to get lunch today and it seemed to stay at the right pressure longer...but the "sound" is still there.
No Oil burning. Oil is at the perfect level.
Where is the PVC hose located?
As for the knock, Knock is different than a tap or a click correct? Will get a video in about an hour and a half and post it for your thoughts :P
