Yeah I have had some problems with it.
Aluminum tends to weaken in the presence of heat ie. stripping out the threads.
Driftmotion sells a kit to enlarge the bolt holes.

You could do that, but it would be pulling fumes from the gas tank 24/7.

Yes, just make sure there isn't any dirt going in there.
I would plug the hard line on the 3000 pipe.
Like I said its for emissions only, its not an essential part.
Follow the line, it goes to the charcoal canister, then to the gas tank.
Valve-Bimetal switch, for emmissions.
Dealer part, although someone around here might have a good one thats not old and dry rotted.

Its actually not "essential" and you can do without it until you get the part.

Alright I swapped out the Cruise Computer but nothing.
Went back to the main switch for a second look.
Disassemble switch again, take voltages & ohms readings here & there.
Turns out the relay isn't making the connection.
So using a dental tool I clean up the connections (very delicate)...
