If you do an NA swap and use your NA electronics it is a very very feasible swap to do. If you do the 2jzgte...well then your looking at a very large chunk of change, being your W58 will not hold even the stock power of the motor for long if at all.
No it really isn't truth is, save your money. Wait until you can drop it in all at once, and since you want to do a 6 speed. Your looking at around 15k since you are NA. My advice is drive it as is for a few years keep it in good shape, then when you do have the money and you still want to keep...
I'm wondering if you could pop the door panel off and clean the contacts to the key solenoid and then try the unlock/lock trick to see if that fixes it.
I think what he is saying is that a lot of kids come onto this site and talk, but never produce any results.
So solution to your problem hang around the people who do produce results.
I never have to, I just turn it to lock then unlock and the alarm goes off. Still confused as to why his friend took the fuse out....I don't know why you would want to shut off the alarm so quickly if you owned the car...not like someone is going to think you are stealing it when you have the keys.
Just locking and unlocking the driver door should work. Why did your friend pull the dome fuse? Why didn't you just walk around to the driver side door and lock and unlock the car????
Cool, good luck.
also it has been documented...and the word money does come up a lot...ask me I know. Head over to the other engines subforum and you will find countless writeups on it, and the same with the build forum.

There are many cases of cars on here costing 8 times the cost of most MKIVs...
So no.
Just because every ricer out there wants a "Real Supra" doesn't mean we all want one.
