my car is factory painted and the tail lights; i just used light buffing compound to make them shine, as for the body i just knocked out a dent and did a light buff on the clear then wax at least every month or when there is time. i added a 87 turbo spoiler and matched the color. but its your...
As of right now it apperentally fixed itself so until it f**ks up I'm not gonna touch it. First thing will be grouds if it acts up.
Btw- thanks for input :)
okay so this problem is freakin weird. the car operates perfectally. i changed my ignition plugs and wires just cuz i been meaning to do it for a while and after hot rodding all last night i cranked it up at gf house and the headlights and clearence lights all operate correctly? wtf?! i didnt...
1986 na supra
headlight switch on coulum with headlight/wiper switch has been replaced before bc the dimmer switch failed, i replaced it with a operating headlight/wiper switch. everything worked great, then i later replaced the sealed beam headlights with HID 35w 6000k ballasts and bulbs...
This summer I have plans to bolt up the turbo manifold, ct26, stock intercooler and IC pipes to the stock 7mge motor and run 4-6psi on 91-93 octane. all stock electronics. the head will be pulled and MHG installed along with new valve seals and possible head rebuild along with new timing belt...
updates plz im in same boat. orileys wants 145 for the supra bearing and id still have to split my bearing case to make it fit on my supra. not worth the hacking if i can get a ranger and the I.D on the 90s rangers is 1.181...same as supra bearing I.D so its worth a shot
well i got rid of some of the problem, the clutch was missing parts lol. now there is a new clutch in it. no more clunk. now i just have a vibration at 65 to 80mph(all the faster i wanted to push)
Okay so i have a na supra(w58), clutch needs replaced and im looking for good affordable clutch from rockauto.com <--(there cheapest around) but i am open to other parts providers price range is anything under ($200) here is the line up from rock auto. reason for this thread is to hear from...
i started a thread on this as well under 7mge, my supra has the same prob, and im thinking bout just dropping the tranny and getting new clutch and checking out all my u joints. my supra has 130xxx and it maybe the original clutch. my clunk comes when i accelerate and let off acceleratior. acts...
i think im just gonna drop tranny and all drivetrain and install new clutch ie original clutch 130xxxmiles. and check all u joints and bearings. what is a good stage one or 2 clutch. im looking at a exedy on rockauto.com and thinkn bout gettng it.
Awesome, thanks for input. somethin else to do this weekend. btw time wise how long does it typically take to install new struts in the tems model? (all 4)
that slight click could be a u joint. and my 1986.5 has numbers that say its a standard rear end. i think my problem could be coming from the center of my driveshaft. by the center support bearing where there split into 2 parts front and rear driveshaft.
Shaeff,
Reason i wanted to keep ge electronics is because i had butchering other supras(turbo), not many left. at least in my area. if i found a local with rod knock or just wrecked then yeah i'd do the swap.
still with correct tuning and low boost i do run risk, but a low risk. anyways not the question i was quite after. I have seached the threads for a successful ge turbo with ge electronics. but i would do away with the ignition system and get msd ignition system. be honest i have only boosted a...
