the block tester and the compression test showed it is not blown. still a lot of vapor in the exhaust though. im thinking i might have a sick turbo seal. this car has always had issues with coolant puking and disappearing. but it seems fine now. and yes i did get some significant hail...
i was suprised at how trouble free mine was to get out of storage. drove through the mud by the barn like a champ and only one of the tires was low on air(usually they all are near flat) looking like a good year so far
the rush of stupidity associated with new parts will come when i get a jz to put in this car..... then we will see what a stock 7m will put up with before going bang! that wont happen till next summer or later.
bought a techtom modified ecu with maps for the lex 550 mod. im not gonna install them till it gets here. i will also put my wideband and gauge in at that time along with the walbro and fpr. i am not dumb.... i know its a bad idea without tuning
just got the car out of the barn and drove it home.... forgot how scary my car is in the rain..... remembered exactly why i park it each year as well.

that rust is a can of worms. it could be a simple repair. it could be a big repair. it is kinda hard to tell till you get into the repair. is it soft at all?

i could help you paint the hatch and spoiler later this summer. basic white is not that expensive and i have the spray equipment. it should not cost more than 200 to paint everything for materials. you plan on coming to the suprasport spring meet? sounds like the april 16th is the tentative date.
that parts car has some big rust issues if i remember right. looks pretty good wet though. i like the white car dude. its lookin pretty good. now swap the turbo stuff to it and you have a car!
im crying inside for ya...... really i am....not! i have driven 5.5hours twice now for suprasport meets. once on an iffy transmission. you need to get out more.

i have the opportunity to buy an engine for my datsun project at way under the cost it would be to build it....but its in california and im in north dakota. ups quoted 1100 to ship it. there has to be a cheaper option. anybody have any ideas?
having owned pristine examples of both cars... id say the celica is the best handling of the two. even my worn out celica is a screamer in the twisties.

im still kinda interested in the rims.... but id have to see them in person first. maybe your car will actually exist at the next supra meet. my car is stock....and i can replace the bent one. i like the way they look
