Yeah, problem is that there aren't many local Supras around here. There is one guy who has been posting parts on craigslist, maybe I'll contact him. Also, I believe the Turbo and N/A catback is the same Toyota part number.
I was about to ask for a video, but then I saw the BHG part... Sorry to...
I have issues with my fog lights and my projector retrofit. When I have the fogs and regular beams on it is fine, but when I turn on the high beams I cant turn them off until I turn off the fogs. I guess it's just an issue with there not being an actual bulb in the plug. I know to solve my...
I've got a replica window sticker because mine didn't come with it when I bought it, but I've also got a binder full of original MK3 advertisements and reviews that I've been collecting. I think it's neat to look at the original ads for the car when they were new.
As far as rare parts on my...
I called a local advanced auto the other day here trying to get some parts for a 4Runner. "The guy said what was the vehicle? a Ford Runner?" I knew it was going to be a long phone conversation after that...
Yeah they are tough to torque, but yours probably need it even if they seem tight. Mine were hard to get to the torque specs as well and I'm bigger than 140 lbs and was using a 1/2" torque wrench that's probably ~2.5 feet long. It is listed as a maintenance operation, but it is usually forgotten...
It seems like some of these guys who work at auto parts stores have never even worked on a car or have a clue what they are talking about. There are some good guys who know what they are talking about and can actually be helpful, but it is frustrating when you get a guy that doesn't have a clue...
Well I still haven't done anything about this. I'm too much of a perfectionist I guess, I only want the best for my Supra. Right now I'm still debating if I want to go with what he called stock replacement parts, or if I want to go with a MagnaFlow and a good resonator.
While you are replacing the shocks torque your front and rear sub-frame bolts. I know some members had suggested this in many other threads I had read before, but I never thought much of it. I did torque them about a month ago and I was surprised how much they turned on my car which has fairly...
Your oil pan gasket may not be leaking. I thought mine was when I got the car, but it was just a bunch of smaller leaks running down to the bottom of the engine, which is the oil pan. My high pressure power steering line was leaking, along with the valve covers. You just want to make sure before...
This can be said about most cars. You will never get the money that you put in back out of the car. It's more about having a hobby or passion, where the cost/price doesn't matter as much.
I'm also in need of a replacement for my N/A as well. It's hard to find an aftermarket catback because pretty much everything for these cars is for the Turbo ones so they are going to be way to big for an N/A car. You will probably have to go custom.
You could try Jay Marks Toyota or Elmhurst Toyota, I believe they give discounts to Supra owners. I think they have threads and sections over on Supraforums. Or Toyotapartszone.com, they are usually cheaper then your local dealer.
Yeah, my body is straight and the paint is clean. I would be too worried to drill into it. I usually use the 3M automotive tape like you would use on vent visors or so.
Nice, it should look good. I'm looking forward to seeing it painted and installed. I like the subtle look it has. If you...
Are you planning on painting it to match, or leaving it? Would you also mind posting up some pics when you have it fully installed? I actually like it that it is mounted with double sided tape. Drilling into my car's body scares me. I've been thinking of adding some sort of a wing to my Supra.
No, I almost got them, but went with an HID projector set up instead. That's fairly low miles for an 02. My dad has an 01 4Runner just like that with like 150k and my mom has an 05 4Runner. They are definitly great SUVs.
