I get along fine all of my ex-girlfriends and even my ex-wife. I don't talk to any of them often, even the ex-wife. (have no real reason to, kids are all over 21) But we all still get along fine.

I've seen a few that could squeak out 10psi with no mods before hitting fuel cut. With a Lexus and S-AFC, I've seen them hit over 20 on stock fuel (but not for long before either the motor melted down or the turbo blew apart).

Really stupid question - does it have fuel in it? (Running out of gas sounds like that sometimes...) Lean running causes high idle and misfire. Clogged fuel pump or filter? Barring that, start looking for an unmetered air leak.
