well... do the compression check... as long as you and/or the previous owner(s) had some sense about taking care of the car, it should be fine. I'd always wait roughly 10 mins after startup to really get into boost. I'm sure that's an excessive amount of time to wait, but I'm a bit OCD, in any...
I take it you didn't care for the 1911?
the most accurate automatic handgun I've used was a S&W 9mm (cut a small tree in half w/ the first shot @ 20yrds)
the 1911 though, is by far my most favorite design (even knock-offs) it's the fact that the grip is designed to allow the shooter to...
trying to get clarification on this... I've been told not to for sure... then again, you have the guys doing it saying all sorts of stuff... from my understanding though... because of the design there's no real use in cleaning it, all you risk is harming the sensitive electronics (laser)
yeah, I hated when my car was burning oil... at the time I had a pretty fresh head (10k miles since I had rebuilt it) at the time I thought I had fucked my valve stem seals by not driving the car easy (breakin) turns out valve stem seals don't need to be broken in. I know the ct26 is prone to...
Alright, I'm seeking advice for myself and BryanDyer... seems we're both having similar (if not the same issue)
low throttle input hesitation, general unresponsiveness. (should note my tach is off quite a bit too) Any input as to what could possibly cause this is welcome.
both of us have...
damn... well, I'll definitely let you know if I find anything out... sounds almost exactly like what my car is doing...
I think I'm'll start a thread see if anyone can shed some light on it...
I'm actually trying to get to the bottom of an issue like this on my car... my tach is off too, so I'm thinking it may be an issue with the igniter or CPS (tach gets signal from igniter) and I've heard of the CPS causing some funky issues... could just be a loose/bad connection somewhere...
IIRC .22lr doesn't have that great of range... it's moderate, but are you actually trying to do mid-range varmint hunting? it's useable for that, but still... I've seen some varmints shrug off .22lr rounds
do a compression test first, and check your PCV system, make sure that's functioning well. (checking for any blow-by)
keep in mind it's pretty common to hear of ct26's wearing out the exhaust side oil seal... especially on modified versions. (the symptoms for valve stem seals and blown rear...
so, I take it you don't pay for anything then? you either force people to do work @ gunpoint or steal engines from people when yours blows up? those are the only working scenarios here. there's no way you can not spend money on your car and expect it to be reliable.
yes :icon_lol:
just so...
x3 been there, done that. I don't have much money as it is to work on my car, but I'm not taking any shortcuts, not borrowing, and I'm taking it one step at a time.
if there's anything these cars are good at, it's incurring unexpected expenses; that and getting you to spend much more than you...
yeah, if you didn't you'd be asking for it to blow up in your face... and if not that, it'd probably chew it's insides up and deposit them in your oil filter (slightly after blowing various seals/gaskets)
