    Cost

Other than getting a quote from a shop that does the exact swap you are after, an actual price is impossible to know. There are far to many variables from one person to the next, i.e. how much work can you do yourself, where you live, deals you can find etc. This is why most people recommend...

    how much is it worth?

I know you have spent more money than what you are asking, but this is a hobby car and not an investment. With vehicles like this you are lucky to get half of what you put into them, and that is when they are turn key drive/drive away vehicles. Most perspective buyers are likely to think you...

    how much is it worth?

If selling to the average car buyer(largest market) you have to start w/the KBB for the car for the condition it is in w/o upgrades, add the value of the upgrades(now used) which would be about 1/3-2/3 of their purchase price, then adjust that price to fit the market.

fender flares on supra opinions wanted.

I have to agree w/the others they don't look good at all, but then again fender flares don't look good on most cars. For flares to work they have to follow the style of the body, yours and the AB-flugs are simply too smooth, to follow the lines of the MKIII. The Godfathers are the only ones...

    Serioussly Hi-Flow Turbo Elbow

Making one can be done and rather cheaply, however since you can't weld, the cost will depend on how much your welder charges you an hour to fabricate/weld. If he is a friend and is willing to do it for free/cost of the consumables, it would be really cheap $5-10 depending on how much you have...

    over heating but not BHG

Non BHG over heating issues are usually one of three things, bad water pump, bad t-stat, collapsing hoses. With it cooling down when getting n the gas it seems like either an airflow problem or a coolant flow problem. Did you replace the water pump at the time of the rebuild? Any noise...

    E-brake handle

There are slip over covers, I found them on either a supra parts site or maybe it was Amazon. Most of them are a aluminum tube that slides over the existing cover. You could likely make one by just buying a piece of aluminum tube from a steel supply shop or welding shop that also sales stock...

87 turbo supra got a nock. how hard to rebuild?

Time and cost all depends on how much of it you can do yourself. The '87 i am restoring came w/a bad rod. after pulling it down, the rods and pistons were fine, though I did need to have the crank turned. If the knock just started to happen(and the PO didn't run heavy oil to cover up the...

    My '87 resto-mod project

Thanks. Coming from the 4x4 hobby, it is almost a necessity to be able to do your own fab. work, or you can go broke rather quickly.

Throttle body to Intake manifold gasket(pic added)

It is a USDM motor as far as I know. When I pulled it down the block looked like it had never been touched, though the head was too clean to have been the original. The t-body had two corresponding ports to the cut-outs of the gasket.

Throttle body to Intake manifold gasket(pic added)

Here is a pic of the 3 layer metal gasket. It wouldn't have gone anywhere else but the t-body/intake. I did find a cork gasket in the gasket kit that had the same bolt pattern, but only had a 1.25" diameter hole, and there would have been very little edging left after cutting it to match the...

Throttle body to Intake manifold gasket(pic added)

The gasket kit came w/3 metal ones, two square and one rectangular, and no paper one that would have gone on the throttle body. I have never seen a metal one on an intake, but this is also my first turbo, so on the rebuild I just followed what had been used before. Since it appears that there...

Throttle body to Intake manifold gasket(pic added)

Both of the surfaces were clean, both looked like fresh aluminum when I reinstalled the T-body. I guess I will remove/reinstall it using some FIPG and see. If it leaks again, I will then make a paper gasket and try it again.

    My '87 resto-mod project

Part Two: Once the interior was done I turned to the engine. I rebuilt the engine, with ARP studs and an HKS MHG(Installing w/my redkneck hoist) Once the engine was finished and installed I started w/the first stage BPU's. Being an amateur fabricator, I figured I would build my own...

    My '87 resto-mod project

Part One: I have been restoring it for a few months now, and have just completed my first stage resto/mods. I picked the car up back in May for $350, and it sat until August. This is what it looked like when I got it home. Since then I have put about another $1700 into and and probably 100...

Throttle body to Intake manifold gasket(pic added)

When rebuilding my 7m I used the metal gasket that came w/the kit to replace the metal one that was on it. It is leaking and the bolts are torqued to the correct setting. I don't remember if I sprayed it with copper coat or not. It is unlikely I did seeing how it isn't exposed to heat like...
