What is the bsv for??? Do I have to have it?
The reason I ask is because the two vacuum hose prongs are broke off and there's no vacuum getting to or from it.
I know it is. and the reason for me repeating myself is because im trying to find out whats wrong with this car. But noone is helping me with it. Everything that everyone keeps telling me to check i already have 2 or 3 times and the problem still persists. So im hyoping someone will help me so i...
I don't know anyone that has a supra around here I have the only one that's on the road within 100 miles that I know of. And I don't want to just start buying parts and that not be the problem.
Has anyone had these problems before or what could it be???
I just don't want to spend $1000 in...
I've also checked the amf and it checks out.
But please guys let me know what you think it might be so I can check it if I haven't already cause obviously I'm a noob to supras and Toyota in general.
Well like I said I checked dizzy, timing, tps, coil, I have all new plugs wires dizzy cap and rotor bug and the wires have the right resistance and all plugs are gapped correctly. All vacuums are legit brand new 2.5 inch exhaust with cat gutted out. The only ohm resistance I haven't checked...
Ok well the update on the car is that once I set the fuel pressure to 40 it acted like it wasn't getting gas. It would stutter and wouldn't go over 1200rpm. The reason I set it to 40 was because once you start driving and the gas is pumping through it drops a hair. But like I said it ws acting...
Being there's a banjo bolt on the cold start injection port how to you test the fuel pressure with the type of guage I have? Or is there a different guage to use?

And the fuel pressure should be in between...
Ok I have checked ohm resistance on all sensors. All vacuums good. New ngk iridium ix plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor button. Cut fuel line by the tank and re ran a 3/8 line to front with fuel filter relocated under hood. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator but the guage dont work right. Now...
Well the stutter from 5000 rpm is gone. Now at 4000 it seems to stall until about 4800. It's not really a stall it's just that when your gettin on it it just loses power in there and then after 4800 it picks up again? What would cause that exactly?!?!?!?
The plug wires are all right and the timing is good. So would this vsv be causing this along with the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? I figure it just getting to much fuel and that the vsv isn't working so the it's not letting enough vacuum travel so it's causing the stutter. Or do you...
I screwed all the way in and took test runs till I got it to run pretty decent. But it always had that high rpm stutter. I just can't get it figured out.
