    Here is a pic of the new front main seal. Does it look like its in correctly? The other pic is to show the mark on the piece behind the oil pump seal.

    I'm replacing both. The one I accidently nicked the surface behind it is the oil pump seal so is it the front main seal or the oil pump shaft seal???

    I will get pics when I get home. Another question, I used the pvc coupling trick to install the front main seal. I'm using a Toyota seal which has a tiny ridge near the outer edge. Should I keep going until the ridge is in the seal bore or stop just when it contacts the seal bore in which case...
