So that's the problem? Do I just hook them up to any bolt on the intake? I feel so stupid. I was about to hook them up but then I was nah, they only mattered with the A/T.
The pump is getting power. I can hear it running and when I loosen the bolt from the fuel rail while it is running it sprays out and seems to be around the 30lbs of pressure that it is supposed to be. I haven't checked the pressure because I dont really have a way to check it. Any good ways to...
I haven't checked for codes yet. I will when I get home.
I was just making sure that no fuel was the problem. Now what is causing it to have no fuel is what I'm tring to figure out now.
I had the AFM connected with the piping connected. I just don't have an air filter in it atm. No I took the piping off and unpluged the AFM when I was spraying the into the TB.
Umm..... Are you talking about those grounds that both have to sets of wires attached, one set is white with black...
We I finally got my motor in thr car and everything taken care of and now it won't run. I can spary starter fuild in the intake and it crank for a sec. and then cut off. So I'm not getting fuel. I can hear the fuel pump running and I loosened the banjo bolt on the fuel rail and gas came...
Ok. That makes more sense. I didn't really think of it that way. I didn't really believe what he was saying but I didn't really have any information to dispute it.
I'll read that right now. I'm not sure how much of it I'll actually remember. I have done alot of reading the past week with...
Well it is a composite HG. I have a warranty with the motor if it does go they will replace it. Honestly I'm running close to the end of my buget and I haven't even touched the brakes yet and they aren't working.
My friend has now changed his story some. He says that its not enough...
Ok Ill be doing all of the above except the head gasket because it looks to be new and the bolts were torqued to 72ft-lbs. I believe it was replaced not to many miles ago.
I plan on going 100 miles then changing the oil. I don't want to have to buy six more quarts of German Castrol that I'm...
Well I just bought a junkyard engine. The had 140,000 miles on it. The timimng cover had a sticker on it saying the belt was changed at 135XXX miles. I took cover off and it looks great no wear at all or dry-rot. They only thing is that it says it was done in 2004. Should I replace it?

His car is an auto. He is using a manual 89+ ecu and engine harness. He has gone to get a picture now. I'm just wondering why the headlight didn't work. Does anyone have any wiring diagrams for the 87 dash harness and the 89 engine harness? If I had those it wouldn't be a problem to figure out.
Well, we were going to do that but the starter bubble is on the wrong side of the one from the mkii. So it will work by just switching the bellhousing to a 7m ?
No letter on the top of the bellhousing. The top two bolt holes on the transmission are a 1/2 inch closer together than the engine bolt holes and the dowel pins are all on opposite sides.
I am helping a friend put his car (87 NA auto -->5 spd turbo) together. He recently got a transmission for it and was told that it was a w58 out of an 88 supra that was twin turbo.
Well it won't bolt up to his 7mgte. The body of the transmission looks like another w58 that he has from a Mkii...
Thanks guys. Well do to the fact that I will be starting school soon and the cost of a 1jz swap is more than I can afford at the moment I will be either rebuilding my engine or getting another N/A motor. Don't worry though I still plan to do a 1jz down the road when I can afford it.
Hi, My name is Jason and I bought an MKiii Supra a couple of months ago. Just joined the site to do research before attepting to do a 1JZ swap. Anyways, the car is a 89 N/A manual targa. I'm the fourth owner and it is currently plauged by rod knock. Here are a couple pics.
