    LS1 240sx

The guy who has the friend with the 240 is saying a semi gutted non-turbo KA24 240 was 2500lbs, and that the LS1 swapped 240 weighed 2700 on an uncertified scale.

Thanks! There are a few more mods here and there that the video doesn't show. Only real power mods are the cam, longtube headers, full exhaust, ls6 intake manifold, and ported TB. Other mods include 3.73 gears, DR's, 3400 stall converter, and line lock.

    LS1 240sx

lol, we'll see. Our boy here above us is saying a stripped, non-turbo KA24 240 was weighing in at 2500.....and the guy with the ls1 weight in at 2700.....should be close.

Hahaha....orlando slip world.....sorry won't go there. From what I hear it's packed every night and your lucky to get 2-3 runs in. I got Gainesville Raceway 40 min. from me. Went there last night actually.....cut my first 11 second pass....here's the vid...

Btw, I'm still believing that the total package when you swap in an LS1 with a t-56 will make the car weigh less than the KA24, even if the engine is 25lbs or so lighter.

    LS1 240sx

Fully dressed Auto LS1 = 457lbs (flexplate) Manual LS1 = 492lbs (flywheel and pressure plate) http://www.funco-motorsports.com/v8_comparison.htm I don't have any offical figures on the ka24, but I've seen 492lbs for the engine and 540lbs with the tranny on a couple forums by doing a quick...

LS1 is probably the worst sounding V8, and that's coming from a guy that owns one!!!

When I swap out to a LS2 408 someone, coughdowardcough, should be buying my LS1 long block

Here's a vid of a miata with an LS1 swap. Bone stock LS1, with just a street tune on it. He ran a best of 11.5 that day. He wanted to hit 11.5 before modding it. Now, it's currently getting a set of heads, cam, intake manifold, and nitrous setup. I'm not trying to sound like a LS1 fanboi....but...

    LS1 240sx

LS1 is all aluminum, the 4cly is iron. Yes, LS1 is a pushrod motor.....therefore is LIGHTER than engines of similar size that have ohc, or dohc setups. The 4cly is dohc which also adds some weight. Why do you think chevy has stuck with the pushrod motor??? Do you really believe they don't have...

    My Camaro SS v. S/C '99-'04 Mustang

Just to let everyone know.....Doward had the chance to race my car against a Shelby GT500 mustang with a Ford Racing TVS supercharger and didn't because it was too far to him to drive. That's right.....50 miles was too far to race/ride in a GT500!!!! So I had to go out, by myself, and hunt down...

    My Camaro SS v. S/C '99-'04 Mustang

Figured this would be the best place to post up the video. I ran into this guy before I did the cam swap and exhaust and he pulled on me, but nothing crazy. Since the swap I've been kinda looking for him for a rematch and found him the other night. Enjoy the vid even though it's kinda dark...

    Disappointing test drive

KBB and real world are two different things. F-bodies and C5 vettes are dropping in prices like crazy due to the f-body getting old and the C6 becoming more affordable as a used car. I was in the market not too long ago for a vette and saw many Z06's with under 100,000 miles going for 22,000 and...

What's your price range? if you can't see a 2001-2002 Z06 in your price range....than an Evo ain't gonna be in there either. Base model vettes are nice too. They can be had for about 17,000 give or take a few thousand in the 98-00 years.

    Disappointing test drive

You STILL aren't understanding what hydro plaining is. Please go read up on it....it DOESN'T matter what wheels spin, EVERY car is susceptible to it. The only thing that would help prevent hydro plaining is down force, therefore keeping the car "heavy" at high speeds as not to sit on top of the...

    Disappointing test drive

Wow, I knew that evo would be brought up, it's every fanboi's favorite episode. One problem....it's not a US spec MR. It's the FQ 400 with 400 hp and better suspension and IS NOT available in the US. You wanna compare that evo to something....then compare it to the C5R.

    Disappointing test drive

Yes, I am telling you a C5Z is a better handling car out of the box compared to a Evo III or IX. Just looked up fastest lap times for the nurburgring.....C5Z 7:56, Evo IX 8:11. Modified is a moot point. Both cars are extremely well platforms to start from, and who ever throws the best...

    Disappointing test drive

C5Z gets the same, if not better, gas mileage than evo's and sti's (specially the new sti). Both use premium. You're pretty much maxed at 450hp with pump gas on the smaller 4 cyl. 450hp is a walk in the park with a cam and proper bolt ons in C5Z (already has the better flowing ls6 heads). If you...
