OK no go on a flywheel. Cant find one anywhere. My car Needs to be drivable A.S.A.P, and nobody has one. Only after market lightweight Steel/Aluminum ones avalible at most places ive checked, if at all. I have a Stage 2 kevlar clutch assembly for around $200, but is it worth getting a light...
Like all these guys said if at all possible pull out the tranny as well. It can be a pain to get upper tranny to motor bolts undone and the starter is easier too.
p.s. i used 5 extensions and an air ratchet lol zipped those bad boys right out.
Thanks Ill go for a new one. Our lathes at school cut multi directional and my instructor says he has done them before but I checked and if it was ground/turned I would be in the negative for material so im gonna go with a new flywheel.
Ok so I have Been waiting out winter to drop the motor back in but, I have a small problem. My flywheel has some small heat scoring, and I cant tell but maybe some pressure cracks a well. Now I was wondering if I should just spring for a new wheel or can I turn it on a lathe at my tech school...
I have never had this much fun in my life all auto tech classes all the time.:biglaugh:I could die right now, and be happy. Nothing like $5 a credit hour either.
I dont need a stereo it hasnt had one since I got it. lol:bling:
ALso I did get the sterring wheel on. With an ae86 hub adapter fit like a dream pics comming soon.
SO I have a slight problem. I live in a very poor area, and there are quite a few car thefts a year in my neighborhood, and I finally almost got carjacked. People who say CLUBS are crap are right somebody cut through my wheel, and pulled the club off. Popped my ignition out, and tried to drive...
Sorry so long of a wait. The nuetral start has been removed the person i bought the car from had it removed. I was just going to strip the block from the manual(blown) and put all the proformance parts on the auto block(not blown).
