    Yes, stock is .031. The TSRM says .038 is the max. I'm going to pick some new plugs up sometime before Monday afternoon and throw them in and hope that solves the issue. Recommendations on plugs? The fanciest NGK's money can buy?

    By deceleration runs do you mean getting up to a certain rate of speed (say 70 MPH) and letting off the gas and letting the engine speed slow you down? I'm going to assume downshifting while doing this is the best course of action?

    Can't wait to hear results. I'm in the midst of putting in a reman 7mgte. I have a 57 trim ct already and 3" turbo back. How much boost are you at? What mods? I was at 10 psi with an MBC before we pulled the junk motor on stock fuel and ecu. Any chance I can turn it up a notch or two safely...

    I think I know what you are talking about. It looks like it's a paper gasket somewhat? EDIT: REPLACED ALL 3 VALVE COVER GASKETS. STILL EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM.

    Motor is an 89 7M GTE Cliffs:Car struggles to start, next day won't start. Pulled plugs...didn't look good, some had oil on them. Mechanic friend said let's replace the valve cover gasket and plugs. Replace them, car runs great for a day, next day struggles to start, today it won't start...
