Yes, stock is .031. The TSRM says .038 is the max. I'm going to pick some new plugs up sometime before Monday afternoon and throw them in and hope that solves the issue. Recommendations on plugs? The fanciest NGK's money can buy?

By deceleration runs do you mean getting up to a certain rate of speed (say 70 MPH) and letting off the gas and letting the engine speed slow you down? I'm going to assume downshifting while doing this is the best course of action?

Breaking in a 7MGTE Here is what we have so far: -First 50 miles are important, run them non-stop. Nothing over 4000 rpm, no more than 75% throttle. Change oil. -After first 50, drive the car. Not all out, but drive it hard. Get SEVERAL deceleration pulls (see post #8 for "definition")...

I think I know what you are talking about. It looks like it's a paper gasket somewhat? EDIT: REPLACED ALL 3 VALVE COVER GASKETS. STILL EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM.

No, I'm in the process of moving this weekend so I probably won't get to it until this week sometime. I don't have a compression tester either so I unfortunately won't get to it until I borrow one. Care to elaborate on where said third valve cover is?

It was #4, 5, and 6. 5 was the worst. 4 and 6 weren't too bad, but 5 had oil dripping off it.
