now the big question... do i pay someone to do the swap for me that has more experience...
well stopped and "fixed" a bulb with the wrong kind and fried my light failure sensor...

and everything works again... may put the sensor back in if feel like looking for one... glad to have that damn light off my...
Kind of want to give it a shot.. but I am severely lacking engine swap experience.... likely I will chicken out and have to have everything delivered to a shop and have them do it...

been thinking about what to do for some time now - researching etc

after some consideration, I think I am going to go with the general call to try to do a GTE swap for under 3500 - think i may even have a line on some good parts...
I was thinking that going GTE would be a good compromise and set me up fairly well for eventually going 1jz - more so than going na -> 1jz directly, experience wise and hardware wise (to a lesser extent...)
I am worried about needing to do the hg, tb, new studs and retorque cost wise and...
here's the rough details on the car - 86.5 NA BHG 220k on the original engine i think... wiring looks ok, but it has been messed with somewhat ... still chasing down dead bulbs to drop the dash warning light for ext lighting... the speedo & fuel gauges are not working right, dash/console/gauges...

that would be phenomenal... was thinking i want an 86 na/t (that front lower grill just screams for an ic with that (IMO better) =P lookin nose but the likelihood of finding a clip to do it would be pretty damn hard to find... that and anyone else around the barn to help....
