I actually was riding down the highway (I-170) here in st. Louis next to donk e kong and all I could think was....I bet u it takes alot of quarters to vaccuum that car
U said u bought the car yesterday so I'm assume u haven't changed any of the fluids or wires and sparkplugs I would start there and check all couplings and vaccum lines then gauge what kind of damage ur dealing with might jus need sum tlc....alsd make sure bolts are tight on the turbo

Sorry for ur loss razo I will have to put my boy down here in the next couple of years so I could only imagine how u feel. Face is abt 11yrs old and starting to show symptoms of hip problems and I don't want him to suffer but at the same time don't want to have to let him go...
My suggestion is to try to find a clean one structual wise and figure out if u want manual or auto, hartdtop or targa. With the transmission figured out it'll save u money with hardtop ot targa figured out it'll save ur ass from hurting from kickin urself for not gettin a targa. Other than that...
