The turbo spins with a little resistance (very slight) but the shaft seems to have no play. There is a very light coating of oil from inside the valve cover vent line.

I just rebuilt my 7mgte, ran it for about 600 miles, took the intercooler line off the 3000 pipe and found oil in it. Does this mean oil is blowing past the bearings in the turbo? (no oil found in the intake side of the turbo)

The car is running, not missing or sputtering, but my adjustability range is about 5 btdc to 5 atdc

If the cam position sensor is off by 1 tooth, how much will the timing be off? Will the car still run? I had the engine rebuilt and tryied to time the engine but I could only get 5 degrees btdc before I ran out of adjustability. BTW I have 89 turbo.

:1zhelp:I am rebuilding my 7mgte and during the process we took .010 off the block and .010 off the head. We also reconditioned the rods and only lost .003 in length. According to the actual specs I should use a head gasket with a thickness of .036 to achieve a compression ratio of 8.4:1...
