it is a monumental mother of all pains in the ass.
I owned a 165. doing an engine swap in that car threw me into a depression I couldnt get out of for two years.
funny... when i decided to swap engines in my supra, i spent about 20 minues trying to figure out how the hell i was going to get the front end high enough to drop the engine... doh!
ill see if i can dig up some pis of my last mr2... big wang and all. still, i prefer wingless... always have...
dont worry jeff. the supra will be finished. i just have to wait till its done and i actually get to drive it before i decide what to do with it. its such a different beast than the aw11 (mine would be an SW11 i guess) that i cant make a decision til its done. im so used to driving mr2s that i...
ill get some more pics, but it should be home next week. its got a decent suspension under it, new braking sys, new steering, new azenis, etc. biggest thing is NO rust. its capable as an autox car but the swap puts it in a mod class which puts it up against some stiff competition. im just lookin...

This comes at a time when Im in the middle of a 2j swap, so who knows whats gonna happen with...
who rebuilt it? what finish did they useon the cylinder walls? check for excessive blowby...

Woke up and someone had broken into my scion and stolen all my tools...

Whew, Long day.
Accomplished my primary goal today, which was to pull the 7m out of the car. I found several surprises along the way though.
#1 - the hoist I bought was missing some very important braces, so that was a nice interruption to run to harbor freight before they closed. got it...
