If you weld it carefully, it wont warp enough to stop it from making a seal, since exhaust gaskets are soft. Tack weld the pipe to the flange in about 12 places before you start to weld it. Then, weld between two of the tacks, then stop and weld between 2 other tacks on the other side of the...
It looks bigger than a 0.6 ar exhaust, they are probably talking about the compressor ar. You will never get a straight anwswer from them. Dont buy that turbo. There are many others available for a bit more that are much better.
Me four, and I never would have known Arther was working on one.
You should have mentioned 'fluid mechanics' when relating pressure to flow rate in a system, not 'thermodynamics'. Sounds like you are spouting off tid bits of knowledge to look smart.
The stock IC is 2.0". If he supplies reducers, then it is perfect. Otherwise, he may supply 2.25" couplers, which will crush down OK but its not ideal.
At least I know 2.25" couplers will crush down to 2.1" without kinking or leaking.
Ok, stupid question, but Ive looked on many occasions and cant figure out how to turn all email notification off. I can turn it off thread by thread, but thats a PITA.
I could just resort to changing my email I suppose, but I dont want to do that.
When I was in school our parking lot was full of BMWs and Merc's, every once in a while you would even find a porsche... That was the kids lot too, the teachers lot was full of cars more like mine at the time, an 87 corolla.
Im not interested in this mod for the increased rev limit, mostly I am interested to correct the advance curve when fuel cut is artificially increased.
Can an 89- ecu be used on an 89+ car? I know the HAC is different, is the harness considerably different?
If the ecu is cutting fuel, I very much doubt it would do it using the fuel pump relay. That would make it very easy to make a FCD. Also, the motor would run lean as the fuel pressure dropped away and then would slowly start to run again as the FP picked up. If it cuts fuel I am sure it does...
I considered it a way to make a 1j IC nearly bolt on. I have seen aluminum pop cans welded together, so I think it could be done. On the other hand, IIRC aluminum gets harder to weld as it ages.
