    My 1989 Supra

Wow! Looks like that'll fix up quite nicely. Good snag!

    moonburn's Rattmobile Resto Thread

Well, it's definitely been a busy past 30 days. Between work, school, vacation and family life I got almost no work done on the car outside of buying parts. I took a lot of the big parts off so I could see the engine better, but not much outside of that. I did get to spend a lot of time working...

    Safe without power steering?

No PS here either. Rack is leaking like crazy so I picked up a seal kit, just looking for time to repair it. I haven't had any issues so far but PS is nice to have on a DD.

I swear to toyota i found supra heaven!

Damn. I was gonna check him out over the 4 day next weekend too... Though I should really stop buying parts and start putting them on the car now, lol.

    any homemade modifications POST EM

+1 for the manual rack conversion. My rack its leaky as all hell right now. I plan on resealing it when I get some time, but this looks interesting enough to give a try.

Simple Ebay parts, would you put it on your car?

:withstupi Your sarcasm is both witty and original. Please continue to contribute in this helpful and enlightening manner. Just face it man, some people are not willing to spend $$$ on parts that can be acquired more cheaply even if it means sacrificing performance.

Man! You're more ambitious than I am! Good luck! Looks like a pretty sweet deal for $300!

    Purple Power FTMFW!

Like at the auto skills center? I am planning on taking it back to the lifts shortly to fix an oil leak, so it would be nice to clean 'er up so I can see where the next leak is!

Simple Ebay parts, would you put it on your car?

I put an eBay brand 3" turbo-back exhaust on my car... no issues here. Pretty much have to agree with the other folks here. If a failure won't cause too much damage, go for it. Just don't get ebay brake lines or anything!

    Need help deleting the ABS?

I thought the master cyl was different too.... or were you just going to use the same one?

    Power window question

First, sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but the electrical forum is closed. I have full control of my driver's window, but I can only operate the passenger window by pressing "down." It does not matter which switch I use, only the "down" side works. My window was stuck open on a...

    Please.....help...

I had to garage my GTI for the better part of a year because nobody near me would give me an emissions test so I could renew my CO plates... something about not having CA DOT stickers for my mods... At least I logged a crapload of miles on my road bike! Otherwise, ITT: the best of internet drama.

Spent some more time poking around the engine bay today. See pics below. The OP gasket has been replaced, but now the front crank seal is leaking. It seems that I will have to re-seal the engine. At least autozone had the seal in stock so I will try and get to it this week before company comes...

    moonburn's Rattmobile Resto Thread

Yeah, I was gonna use it for the gas and get some errands done, but they gave it to me almost empty. Go figure. At least I have gotten to do a lot more research today since I haven't really spent any time in the garage other than a quick cleanup. I just need the weather to warm up a bit so I can...

    Need help deleting the ABS?

^This. I am still considering it though, because it could potentially be a lot cheaper to just delete the ABS than to fix it... I gotta take a look at my unit to see what is actually wrong, but I can't get any fluid to the calipers. Dealer looked at it while I had it in and they said there was...

    moonburn's Rattmobile Resto Thread

Thanks for the tips! I'll try to flush out the PS system and put in the A/T fluid when I get it back (see below). I found a thread or two re: ABS delete, and am seriously considering it. Not sure though since this will be my daily driver. The OP gasket has already been replaced, so I will...

    moonburn's Rattmobile Resto Thread

Thanks for the warning, guys. Here's a quick update. I haven't had a lot of time recently due to work, family, etc. but I did finally manage to get the Ratt to the lifts and take a whack at the OP gasket replacement. Yeah, no. It was a little bit out of my league, so we checked the brakes out...

    moonburn's Rattmobile Resto Thread

Yeah, I've been working through it with the TSRM... Especially for wiring stuff. Thanks anyhow! Drove it in to work today and had a blast! Thinking I may end up having to replace the brake lines. Anyone know of a reliable, reasonably priced braided stainless kit?

So exhaust is on and sounding good, brakes are on, but still blocked off somewhere. I tried to bleed them, but I couldn't get fluid at the calipers or air bubbles in my jar o' brake fluid. I checked all the lines, no cracks or leaks. I called the PO and basically got the impression that he...
