    Idle A/F

The only reason I thought it was ac relatedwasbecause the ac system was removed from the vehicle, I just found out my buddy installed it and had it charged for me when I got back to the states. I did not know he did that. Ac works fine. I have never attempted to use it until this past weekend...

    Idle A/F

Only thing disconnected was the ic to 3000 pipe and leak down was done after connecting everything back. Only thing I can think of is somehow something is now making a better connection and readings are accurate now. But that doesn't really make any sense given what was done. The car will be...

    Idle A/F

Yes the code for over boost is now showing up after I followed the write up. Nothing was changed, just tested and adjusted the stop screw on the bottom of throttle lever. I'm at work right now doing pmcs on vehicles, I will be able to look more into it possibly today if not then this weekend.

    Idle A/F

After following the write up from jj it appears the code is still there and everything checks out just the way he said it should. However, the car now runs a little worse than before. It will not boost over 15psi without hitting fuel cut (I was able to hold 20 before). The turbo is glowing after...

    Idle A/F

Are you talking about the little bolt with a nut under the the lever the throttle rod connects to? I have checked everything that was on the write up on code 51 by jj and everything is within the specs listed in the write up. I did adjust the screw I was talking about so it makes contact and the...

    Help! - Code 51

Sorry to revive an old thread but I did find it useful. Codes have been pulled and cleared. They have been pulled again and with key on, car not running, ac off, and not touching the gas pedal the only code I get is 51. I'm fairly certain it is not related to the ac at this point. I know I said...

    Idle A/F

Ok. Ill look more into that and see what I can find about correcting the open reading.

    Idle A/F

It's code 51. The manual I have says its ac related. When engine is cold it idles rich, no problem there. Once warmed up is when it starts to fluctuate. This morning it's staying between 14.6-15.0, more on the lower end occasionally reaching 15.0. I know there's only so much you can do with a...

    Idle A/F

The only code being shown is AC related and I know why that is. I've checked codes, cleared codes, then drove around and checked again. Also did leak down test and no leaks anywhere. Spark plugs are new but I checked them anyways and no damage or corrosion. Wires carry spark to plugs, and with...

    Idle A/F

I have tried the recommended process for the smoother idle as stated in another thread here. Drive the car to warm it up, then stopped and let it idle for 3 minutes exactly. Nothing changed at all. My A/F still fluctuates between 14.6-15.2. The only thing I can do to smooth the idle it pull fuel...

    89 T build

From what I've found you can push 475 out of the 550's safely at 80% duty cycle. There was a write up on it on one of the forums I came across the other day. With what I'm reaching for in the future I will need no less than 800cc, but that's down the road.

    89 T build

That's the reason I'm asking. Last time it was running it laid down 354.75 at 9psi with the same setup. Now it can hold double that if not more. If I do go with bigger injectors I will need something other than the safc-II. I'm leaning toward the emanage blue or ultimate.

    89 T build

I have no traction until I get to 3rd. I'm only running 245/45/17 bfg kdw the fort tread pattern. It feels really nice after the supra being down for 3 years due to me being out of country and training. At half throttle setting rings in 4th my buddy was following me in his 91T and he said he was...

    89 T build

    So far my modifications include: .040 forged bottom end / clevite bearings / 1.5 mhg / arp everywhere possible / walbro 255 / afpr / rc550 / lex afm / safcII / t4 p trim 60-1 in stock shell / bic ddp / 3" exhaust / apex-I intake / stock air bypass (Bosch 110 on the way) / wideband / turbo...

    Head Gasket thickness selection

If compression is your only issue and you have the funds, why not buy pistons that help to lower compression? I did that with my 89t because I was going with forged internals anyways so it seemed like a good idea to me. Compression ratio comes out to a bit under stock, which isn't a bad thing...

Car idles low/dies when quickly let off throttle

I have a similar issue. I also have lex/550/walbro with safcII. No matter how much I attempt to tune it it still stalls if I don't let the engine brake it's self a little before going to neutral or stopping. I have a 5 spd by the way. I reverted back to stock air bypass for break in period but...

safc hi and lo throttle setting

I tried the low/hi setting suggested of 68/69 and it brings fuel cut back at 15.7 psi, but the car runs slightly better. I reverted back to previous settings of 10/50 with original fuel tuning and it holds 18-19 psi depending on throttle %. Is this typical? No matter what I changed fuel settings...

safc hi and lo throttle setting

I have the same problem with mine. I let off throttle or go into neutral and it does out unless I feather the throttle or let rpm drop in gear before going to neutral. I have put the stock air bypass back on(hks ssqv cracked) and it still has the same issue. Is there any way to use the safcII to...
