Hey again
Here is latest pics from the days work.
I just finished the piston.
Now the sharp edges are gone and i will mount this at the block tomorrow.
And here is some pics of the car.
Aint painted yet stille need the last body work to be done.
But it will be painted...
I can easily tell you what went wrong with that kind of design.
The bolt wholes for the clutch are to close to the outer diameter of the flywheel.
My flywheel is 280mm in diameter ....and the wholes for the clutch is at 200mm in diameter.
What kind of flywheel is that?
I wont buy alot of things when i have alot of things that can be rebuilded, and perhaps work fine.
I am still under education so the money is low.
Thats why i just dont buy stuff......
I have to build this shit by my self :-).
And if it cracks.......then i have 4 more engines standing...
Hey all.
I dont care that everebody is picking on me :-).
I can handle it!
First of all.
The flywheel is tested at my other engine and works very fine.
The flywheel is made of a special type of steel that is used for that kind of things.
I work at a place where we build machines , as we...
Hey again.
Just for the one who think my compression will be lower.
Here is some pic, where you can see the difference.
Also i got the new ring set mounted here, so tomorrow i will mount the pistons to the rod and perhaps also mount them in the block :-)
Best regards Jens...
The trigger wheel is mounted in front, pic will come when i do this on this engine.
About the rpm....i will keep on pushing the gas pedal hard to the floor as long as the power curve is rishing :-).
First i will mount 6 injectors on the original place, but i will also try with 6 injectors...
If you look at a 5mge piston, then it is higher in the middle of the piston.
7mge pistons is a kind of hollowed out, while 5mge pistons have a top on.
I will try to take some better pic so you can see it :-).
I hope this engine is running before christmas :-).....
There will be videos ASAP .
Yes i first made a drawing of the flange, and then had it made on a cnc machine.
The sensors is all from the Electromotive Tec3R, that i use.
It is very good :-).
The flywheel will be this one that i also made by my self :-).
It is tested on my other engine and works very good !
Incl clutch the weight is 8.6 kg, and the original is 17kg :-).
The last engine i made with itb and original parts revs up to 8000 without any problems, and that is with hydraulic lifters.
This one her is with mechanical lifters so it is a little better , but stille the pistons and the rods are the weekest parts.
I hope to get around 11:1 at compression rate, and a place between 250 and 280 hp in that engine.
I will build it as crazy and wild i can on the original parts.
then someday i will upgrade to 85mm custom made pistons and rods :-).
Looking forward to hear this thing rev :-)
Best regards...
Hey all.
I just want to show some picture of my new engine that i am building this winter.
This is the description so far...
7mge 24V head.
5mge pistons modified for 24v head.
6mge short block.
Itb´s from BMW M3 3.2.
The engine will be mounted with new bearings, rings, metal head...
Hey again.
It is balanced on a machine that can do it to extreme precission.
The ring gear is the original that is mounted again.
Best regards Jens Pedersen
hmmmm does this works....

Hey again.
2800 on the valve cover :-).
Originally my plan was to mount the 24v head on a 5m (2.8) block.
Then my ide was to use the 5m block, but have it bored up to 85mm.
That way the bore strok would be 85x85mm.....an quardratic engine.
But then i done some more researching, and...
