Was looking to get rear add ons for my 87 mk3. I searched google and various pic sites, I can't find spec A rears w spec B sides. Everyone that has spec A rears has matching A sides. Does anybody have pics of an A rear w B sides setup. Or any info if they're both around the same dimension on how...
Ok thanks everyone. When it warms up a little I'm gonna blast the hose in it and troubleshoot it. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again

Yeah. If it gets above 20 degrees out soon I want to tear into it. I was thinking hooking a garden hose to it and blasting it backwards and see what happens.
Even if the hot cold actuator under the dash wasn't working, the driver side heater hose would still be hot correct? Thanks for the...
Is the dash coming out the hardest part of the job? If so it doesn't sound that hard. I just replaced the dash when I changed the color of my interior and it was a breeze.
If both hoses relating to the vsv are hot, into vsv and out of, wouldn't that mean coolant is flowing? The problem seems like its not getting fluid through the core. Should the driver side hose coming out of the firewall be hot from fluid exiting? Could I disconnect the hoses and blow through...
Hi there. I have an 88 N/A that has cold heat. I've searched all the NO HEAT posts and all say the vsv is bad and don't go into much more. My b;ower blows fine in all positions, not circuit. My vsv has vacuum an dmoves up and down freely and when supposed to. My passenger heater hoses are hot to...
Would a lower temp thermostat make a noticeable decrease in water temp? I think I had a 170 put in, that's 25 degrees colder than stock? I'm afraid of the heater core issue cause it sounds hard to do, although I had the dash out already while doing my burgundy to grey color change. Thanks
I'm glad it was that easy to diagnose. I'm having the same problems with my 88. I checked the control valve and the rod is moving smoothly and gong up and down. I heard someone say before to lower the heat to 65 and raise it to 85 and listen by the glove box for a motor sound to open a door or...
Sure is, whines very tiny sometimes when driving straight, then of course while turning either way its much louder. If you rev it while turning, it lessens the umph it takes to turn, but still takes a load of muscle to turn.
I have an 88 n/a and when I bought it the guy told me it needs a new steering pump, he had one that was used. I put on the used one with no change, yes I primed it, yes I bled it. My big question is, did the rack go bad from being driven with no fluid in it? Is the pump perhaps not the problem...
