Ah well after fixing the power steering and diff and driving it around a bit it quit smoking so no biggie :)
Now I just got to figure out this fuel cut code 34. and get my idle under control but it's drivable and doesn't stall!
Eh well I don't have a factory air cleaner. So unless I get one real cheap it's whatever :/ I figured out spectre part no 81403 will fit the afm.
Anyone have any idea how to make the throttle not drop on and off when you're holding a cruise? I'm going to just mess with the tps alignment and...
Why would I buy that when I already have a k&n filter? :P And do have a fan shroud but it still sticks out you know. It's just idle isn't perfectly smoth a bit up and down +- 200rpm. Sometimes it sounds like it's missing.
But I finally drove it today, pretty fast. Hit fuel cut at like 3.5k rpm...
I meant at the end of the meter it has 4 nuts. When I bought the parts car it did not have the filter on it and I don't have mine. On my 7mge I bought an adapter for the square afm to a cone filter, but does not fit on my 7mgte air sensor. I don't have the factory air cleaner assembly and have a...
Anyone know the bolt pattern on the AFM for the turbo? Or which one of these would fit: http://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/mass-airflow-sensor-filter-adapters?SortBy=DisplayPrice&SortOrder=Ascending or I could drill holes to make it fit? Would prefer a 4" as it's the size of the filter...
Lol. I hope that smoke is still just smoke from the paint burning in.. Cause it's still smoking a bit D:
Yeah well I like having it all ready to go some reason. I even put the interior back together before the start! But the radiator hooked up showed me all my water leaks at least.
Thanks :D Well mine was on the road with a 7mge before :P. Got all leaks fixed, fixing powersterring and diff tomorrow... Then it's onto a bit smoother idle cause I need a filter adapter!
The tsrm literally says sae 90 for above 0c and 80w90 for under 0c. I thought it did as well bit I don't remember it saying 'clutch type' on the bottle last time I got it I swear it did but my memory is terrible. I'll update once I get it in maybe tonight or Wednesday. School :v
Then it's off...
Well I Have the shop manual it calls for 8090 at 1.4qt so I'll just take the Motorcraft oil back. Will the diff break lose after I try to drive it a bit with the modifier in it? I really hope so!
Also does anyone know the bolt pattern on the afm? Mine did not have any filter on it and don't...
Lol 43 dollars for 2 quarts and a modifier. I wouldn't mind spending that in the first place but I already paid for 3 quarts of Castrol 8090. Sucks for me I didn't think it would make a difference. I bought all redline trans oil and that only ran me 23$.
I called a ford dealer and dear god the 75 90 is about 18 dollars a quart.. Thinkin just get the friction modifier and use whats in mine right now.. or one quart and mix it lol. I feel like I've already wasted so much money.
I guess I'll drain it into a separate container to see how much comes out again. My friend is the one who put most of it together. By Ford you mean Motorcraft 7590 and additive at dealer?
