hummm..........so im to assume that a 2jz aftermarket valve train will work in my 1jz head............nice i was having trouble finding a kit for the 1j and im not trusting stock in my motor
quick question, does anyone know if the electric waterpump for a 2jz will work on a 1jz swap? they sell them on titan and it says that i wont work on the jdm 2jz but it doesnt say anything about the american version so...... if you can use the 2jz water pump on a 1jz then shouldnt you be able to...
i got mine for $900/free shipping from jazzproparts, so far its a good motor, if i had to do it over though i would buy a rebuild from someone like JARCO....... has anyone got one from horsepower freaks? they offer them for 1500.
my first car was an 87n/a i loved that car and it was quick to me. i bought another n/a from a buddy(the same buddy that killed my frist car) and it was too beat up so i did the turbo swap. going from n/a to turbo is night and day, i love the boost. i dont think that i could ever own another...
when i did my swap i had a similar problem, i used and auto wiring harness and i forgot about the safety nutral switch, all i did was short the wires and it starts like a dream................some times:)
sounds like a good build, you deffinatly want the tubo tranny, with the turbo tranny and the non turbo rearend, it will fly, no top end though trust me.
the waste gate is built into the turbine housing. you shouldnt be able to hear that. you should be able to hear the turbo spool up, however with all stock equipent its not very loud. now like everyone eles has said the pishhhhhh sound comes from the bov you should hear that when you shift. i...
