Thanks! I'm exited to get this back together and have some fun. Been a project for almost a year... Way too long!
Good to know, would you recommend still going 29 ft lbs torque or higher? I had planned on still going 29.

Hmmmm... Was just curious. I would think that lapping them and making a more precise mating surface between the valve and the head may reduce "clatter." Interested to see what mine will sound like when I get my engine back together. I lapped my valves as well.

Yeah, dealerships like to rape us... I took mine out using a very small screwdriver. Put it in at a 45° angle and pulled out. All the basket filters seemed to come out just fine.

Nope, they are actually on top of the injector itself. In the center of the top where fuel enters the injector. It just looks like a small hole on top about the size of an eraser head. You pop them out. They are usually in there pretty snug, and are easy to damage when removing so be careful if...
They are on the top of the injector. They are a little basket with a screen that acts like a sort of filter. Mine were horrible. The screens were almost completely filled with shit. Needless to say it will reduce fuel flow if they are too muffed up. Could be another possible reason for leaking...
Hopefully you can find them, check your basket filters while you have the injectors out, make sure they aren't filled with gunk.
Just in case you can't find the right one, here's that link:

I got a full set of injector gaskets, grommets, and basket filters on Ebay for less then $30 iirc. They were great quality as well.

^ Exactamundo! Yeah, I just got done using the Helicoil on my exhaust studs last week. Half of mine were trashed. Glad I noticed it before attempting to put the head back in!
So this weekend I was able to finally get the rest of the Helicoil finished up. Also finished getting the valve lash/clearance within spec, so both sides are done now. Just need to install the front cam seals. As soon as my video is done uploading to Youtube, I will post the link to the quick...
Thanks! Yeah, I might just getting a regular freeze plug to fit the hole. They are only like two bucks each. I don't really need a block heater, and I don't really plan on driving it on Idaho winter roads lol. Hopefully I'll finish that head this weekend. Then I need to measure and get a head...
