When u go single u need to change manifold and whatever else neccessary to make the single work. Some singles are oil cooled so u would have to block of the coolant feed and return line of the stock setup. If u get one that is water cooled then u can keep the lines. /even then u still might...
Damm I wish that the members can get first glimpse at N.y racing. There is nothing like it. Damm I miss home. Will be up there this month to freshen up my 2j. My car and motor is still in N.Y. Tell ur boy if he wants to race put a single on that v8 he'll have a hell of a ride then.
It is not that I am not looking to be cheap as i can be. Its just that I would rather try to get a standalone between 1,000$ and 1500$ hundred. The anti-lag is for drag race only not for show. I am quite aware of what it does to the turbo. The aem has alot of features and I am not quite sure...
I am in the market looking for a standalone. I would love to have the aem but a little pricey on the pocket. So I started looking at the stinger. All I am really looking for in a standalone is antilag and open and closed loop function so that I only have to have one tune. Does the stinger...
try replacing the exhaust manifold gasket. As far as the cams being a little off. I would try to get them exactly where they need to be at least at that point u can eliminate that as a possiably issue.
Just to put my 2 cents in. You have to have a good set of tires to make any honda over 300hp to hook. A civic that makes 300hp is roughly a mid to high 11sec car. So in saying that good kill. The group of friends I hang around though a 300hp civic is dirt slow compared to theres. Had one...
I have one question. Have u ever been in a 700hp car that's torque equal almost the same? If not shoot for 500hp first. I have alot of friends who have high hp 4 cylinders. Yes , the very top endes and fast but that lack something that these supra's tend to make alot of . That's torque...
Will just call u the Upgrade. Anyway good luck I hope you hit xxxx digits. Show everybody that the 7m is a monster ! Make sure we have vids. Vids are like Lions looking for food for the cubs, they will kill anything for it....:naughty:
Need vids

They just sound so good.
Have u guys been looking in the dyno section lately. 7ms are proving themselves over and over again. I have to agree with a comment somebody said early. Take into factor future goals. If u plan on going for 1000hp maybe 2j is a better choice. If not stay with the 7m. I just brought a 2jzge...
I believe that the vvti have weaker rods in it than the none vvti. I am not sure but it might be a little harder of a swap because of the electronics of the vvti but don't quote me let some of the more experince guys tell u. I know most of us use a non vvti motor to swap in our supras.
The crazy part about it is that it's proably something so simple. I have a friend with a honda who had the same problem but in his case it was just a real cheap exhaust manifold. I know u don't have one of those but it just keeps leading back to something between the manifold and the turbo...
Suprahero. I have seen this before so if u don't mind I'll put my 2cents in. I am assuming that u are running the same exhaust maniforld as before so in saying that check for a small crack around where the wastegate mounts to the manifold. Make sure that u have a good seal at the mounting...
