Very informative post. Porsche went one better. They eliminated the external filter all together and made it part of the fuel tank sending unit. Some don't even have that just the pick up sock in the tank.
But seeing as my 87 mkIII is reaching the replacement age I might just do it if it hasn't...
As above, as long as you didn't have metal floating around in the oil you'll be o.k. What little foreign material that was in the oil should be able to be cleaned out of the cooler
You could also look at a aftermarket cooler that would replace the little factory one.

Dissregard, I checked the boost levels again and it's right at 10-11 psi/.7 kpa. Is there any information about putting ct12b's on a 1jz. thought I saw something about having to machine the 12b's to fit.
Any one remember what there boost level was with 1 turbo out or going out.
I need to double check but I think mine is maxing out at 7 psi/.5kpa

I'm trying to determine if I have a problem or not with my oil pressure.
I have good pressure when at idle. 20 psi but when the car is at 3k or more the pressure appears to go no higher than 40-50 psi. This is all on the in dash gauge. I will have to put my mechanical gauge on it to confirm...
How do you like the Tein S tech springs. The intrax on mine are going to have to go. The front sits too high, nose high attitude. Was looking at the Tein, H&R or Eibach. all seem to lower the car about the same amount.

Thanks to all, Picked up the car last night. I don't know what all the torque over the 7m motor is. Compared to my rb20det 240sx this is by far a MUCH better motor and car.
