Ive done that. I thought maybe I was missing a fuse and even replaced the IGN fuse with a brand new one just incase.
I do get power to my igniter from my ignition switch, I am getting power to the coil pack harnes from the igniter and the coil packs are good atleast according to the...
I forgot to mention I swaped ECUs as well. Still nothing worked.
Now Im getting Code51 before that it was 51 and 14. I fixed 14 by fixing a ground wire that wasnt grounded.
I just finished my engine rebuild and put everything together.
When I cranked it I figured it would take a while and build pressure in the gas line but it doesnt even start at all.
I started checking everything, the normal checks, until I found out I wasnt getting spark.
After finding out...
No I didnt lose mine. I just thought that it had to be longer.
If thats the case then nevermind, I guess thats all I need. It just seemed that the write up said they used a modded screw.
Wasnt sure what section it should go... technical GTE or General, but anyway...
I was going to buy the Suprasport adjustable screw for the Lexus AFM but at the bottom it says that it doesnt work with the real Lexus, it only works on their replica.
What has everyone been using as far as the...
oooh. Well that explains it....
The 90 I bought came with 2 engines, a JDM and USDM. I put one engine together with parts of both. I must have gotten that pipe from the JDM engine...Cause the other side is brazzed shut. It doesnt have the rubber cap most coolant pipes do.
Well this...
Im at the point where Im replacing my hoses but theres one that I cant find. Toyota Cant help me because they searched and searched and cant get a part number.
So I come to you guys.
The hose is attached to the coolant pipe that wraps around the block....
and I believe it...
I had a junker that I wanted to experiment with and see if it was any easier to remove and or reinstall struts by cutting the springs. (Assuming they were never going to be used again)
Really no difference. It still takes the same amount of time as just using a spring compressor.
Another thing. If I wanted to I would just go get the MAFT Pro and just forget about all of this.
But I just dont feel like buying equipment that I dont think I need.
I know some of you may agree that a MAFT Pro is the better choice. But honestly I dont know how long I am going to stick with...
Bountykilla, I dont take offense. I asked this question for a reason, I didnt know the pros and cons.
I do understand that changing metering devices doest necesserally increase power.
The reason I worded it the way I did was so I wouldnt get a "Well why would you want to go Maft"...."Why...
Well so far it looks liek I will be going witht he GenII with the GM 3" Sensor.
Grimreaper, I did what you suggested and I found out that you can watch A/F ratios with the unit but it also says to compare the readings with a real wideband gauge. Obviosly I have to buy the O2 sensor seperately...
Nice nice. Well I was looking at the website where the maft systems are sold and I was reading on that gen 2 and how it has "AF Technology"
How it automatically adjusts ratios.
It doesnt seem to explain if it can be hooked up to a laptop or not or weather it shows you readings on its...
So I am facing a dilemma right now...
I have 2 Lexus AFM housings laying around and I just ordered 550cc's. Clearly I can just go that route.
The other option I have is the GM 3" Airmeter set up. I have 3 GM Meters on the shelf as well. The issue is that I have to obviosly buy that MAFT...
Does anyone have pictures of their cut bumper to fit the bigger front mount intercoolers?
I want to cut mine, but I'd rather see more before I hack away at mine.
This is the only one I could find so far. Its a FS thread...
Yeah I agree.
Like I tried to explain I didnt just go and buy parts according to 1 guys opinion or advice. I understand theres limited amount of things we can do to our cars that may work with others.
Thats what I like about this forum though, I get pretty straight answers and not just...
Yeah then I guess Ill go with 550's. I dont see me doing 400hp or anywhere near there. Those arent my plans right now..I just have to get it running at this point :-)
But this is good info.
I know of one guy that used to deal with DSM's and he claimed they swap parts between owners (those...
So even though those 700cc injectors are cheaper than the Suprasport Factory style 550cc's Im going to end up spending more with the 700cc anyway because of the equipment I will need to even run them...
Damn it I wish I could just get those. :-) Oh Well, thanks you two.
So I was looking into buying 550cc injectors to go along with my Lex AFM but I was looking through Driftmotion and found that they sell 700cc Injectors for $410!
I was concidering the following...
Supramanias Factory Style 550cc
or
DM Siemens 550cc
Then like I said I found those...
