Yea, I know this has been covered before. Almost every post on here has someone saying "learn to use the search button!" but it doesn't meen that the search will bring anything worthwhile. I'm thinking about switching to the JDM TB since I have one layin around. What's the best (or easiest)...
The airflow CFM, the throttle response, and overall diameter of intercooler piping you can use are all things that I "think" are being upgraded. As for your second comment I can only assume that you're saying that you're going big and I'm not.... or something?
Don't always assume that...
Anyone use the throttle body from a v8 lexus? I believe stock is 60mm and the lexus is 70mm. I want to upgrade but I wanted to see if others have done this and if there's much to gain with this mod.
After doing some research, it seems there's almost no advantage that I can see to removing the EGR system. I did a JDM swap...which, as everyone knows, has no EGR. I've ran my setup for over a year without it and now I feel that EGR is a must. Would it be better to get a JDM ECU or reinstall...
I'm new to elecrtonic boost controllers and I'm wondering what other people's settings are and the steps they've taken to tune their car. I noticed a big difference between what I set it to boost to and what actually gets produced. What can I do? I have 550cc injectors, lexus AFM, DDP & 3"...
I just installed a Greddy full auto timer using a harness. The installation was easy and the timer turns on and appears to work fine. Problem is, when I turn the car off it turns off as well. What'd I forget?
I wish there was such a thing. As far as I can see theres only prev, next, up, down, left, and right. Whats wierd is that I can somehow navigate through some of the menu by random combinations of holding down buttons. So Im sure the unit works....theres just some sort of short. What can I do?
So I finally finished installing my new apexi AVC-R and when I go to try it out it cuts out. It only cuts on when holding down a button but then cuts off the moment you release. I'm almost certain I wired everything correctly and the unit seems to be working but I can't use it. I can hear the...
So I'm all set to start my attempt at installing the AVC-R but I really still am unsure of which hoses need to be rerouted and which ones get capped off. Where's a good place to mount the solenoid valve and the pressure sensor?
Yea man, you got it. It seems that I can get either DDP or RDP for the same price so I suppose I'll go for the DDP. Would there be any reason to go with the recirculated version?
I'm currently using a 3" elbow with an HKS DP but the opening on my DP is actually 2.5". Im concidering switching to the DDP but I want to be sure it's worth it. I found a DDP on ebay but its not actually a divorced DP since the wastegate pipe recirculates. The price is right but I'd like to...
I know this is a dumb question, but today I picked up a set of eibach lowering springs (part # 4.7585) at a flea market for $8 and I wanna know if they could be used on my 89' supra. I'm almost positive that they won't but I'd like to be sure before they hit ebay. Thanks!
I'm hoping to get a set of electric fans but I don't have the money to go flex-a-lite. Anyone find anything that works the same for less? I've heard of a couple of OEM fans that can be used. Anyone use anything other than FAL fans? What kind of HP and MPG gains have you seen?
Praise the lord!! My cars back to it old self again. Turns out my timing was off from incorrect CPS installation. Once I did it right it started up no problem. Thanks everyone for the help, I would've given up long ago had I been alone.
I know how to check volts, amps or ohms no problem....its just the multi part thats been confusing the hell outta me. I'm goin to get the CPS aligned right so the timings not off. Would the spark plugs be sparking if the igniters bad?
Okay so if I installed the CPS incorrectly and my timing is slightly off, wouldn't it still start? Where does the CPS wiring end up? I can see where it disappears near the fuel rail but I never can see. Should I try hardwiring the CPS? Again the tach jumps so the CPS is working and I no...
