is it real to say ; if the gear ratio is smaller ,the turbo spool up faster due to extra effort .
I actually have 4.1 torsen , if i change it for 3.26 or something like that , do my car still have good launch?
and when you change gear ratio on mk3, how the speedometer can work?
i have gt4088r ,46mm wastegate with china 2 runner and i boost creep, i can't boost under 17-18 psi and my wastegate spring is 13psi
my ic piping is 2.5 inch but 3-3.25 would be better.If you know the flow of your turbo you can calculate it on garrett site
the wastegate could be ok if i have better manifold design.
if wastegate connection to manifold have angle of 90 deg , the flow capacity reduce by up to 50%
good (wastegate face up)
bad (wastegate face down)in this case you have to put bigger wastegate
i don't know for mp t70 but i have similar turbine a/r,
i have gt4088r with .95a/r and i love it,little laggy but built full power between 4000-5000rpm
my last setup was gt3076r .63a/r and that push from idle,but top end suck(i hated it)

your number was impressive too for jdm twins , compare to other guys 2j with single , interesting to know that
on the dyno sheet that look laggy, but on the road its different story,it's alot more fun than my gt30 setup.With the gt40, the engine rev faster and come in boost rapidly , i probably kill the gt30 setup from first gear to fift gear

yeah , i probably can do mid 12's with slick and more experience , but the top end power really sucks with this turbo,all the power is before 4500rpm and below that , the engine can not breathe correctly,with this kind of power , i can sell my car for buy a mustang!!

if you found that you have slow spool;that probably cause the gt40
creep is probably cause by port to the wastegate, cause you have just one(on the picture) and with gt4088r it can't afford

I think couple of guy on this forum have 1j with gt4088r , i would like comment from they're experience . From what i read , lag is overrated , he probably hit full boost at 5000rpm?? on 1j . garrett produce very fast spolling bb turbo

correct me if i'm wrong,but your t61 have t4 inlet , and .68 t4 vs 1.06 t3 must be pretty close
i'm not sure if i change just from .63 to .82 that will give me big difference , probably my turbo is too small for what i expected.if i stay gt30r i'll be stay in 13's or high 12's
