    Boost Creep

I don't know much about SP products, but do you know if the wastegate hole was ported out and has at least a 38mm diameter? If it doesn't, that hole in the exhaust housing will be the limiting factor, regardless of wastegate size.

    Gauge Instalation question

12V Constant: Powered at all times, whether or not the key is in. I haven't had to use this for any gauges/tuning devices, but I'm sure you can tap into a wire at the headlight switch or ignition switch. 12V Ignition: Powered when the ignition is on (car running, or key in on position). I...

To DDP or Not to DDP?

Yep. The stock turbo's wastegate hole just isn't big enough to deal with the additional flow of the DDP and a big cat-back exhaust. Initially I got creep from the stock 6psi to 9psi. Once it got cooler, I would creep up to 10-11psi and hit fuel cut. My solution was to add a Walbro pump and...

    Blitz Nur Spec

The Nur Spec is about an inch longer than normal, so I bought a shortened test pipe from BIC (just let BIC know to make it for the Blitz exhaust). The exhaust is loud, but, like many things, you'll get used to it. I had the silencer in for about an hour after I installed the exhaust, and...

    Blitz Nur Spec

Even though it seems like the question has been answered, I thought I'd just let you know that the $510 one is the full cat-back. I know since I bought mine from Titan. The axle-back version of the Blitz usually sells for $400 or less.

To DDP or Not to DDP?

I'll add another vote for the DDP. I've had mine for a couple of months now and am happy with the power gains; I have the DDP, test pipe, and Blitz cat-back). The only downsides I had were 1) the exhaust leak sound at idle (especially with a cold motor) and 2) boost creep. I got used to the...

    Can I pick your brain...

Improper connections or the wrong sensor setting (use Karman on DSMs) on the SAFC can cause a lot of headaches. I learned the sensor setting one through experience with my Talon, as my SAFC sensor setting got switched (still don't know how) and I went through everything trying to find the...

    bic ddp question

There are a couple of things that can be done to prevent boost creep: you can get a larger wastegate flapper and bore out the wastegate hole or just go to an external wastegate. Personally, if the creep is limited to a max of around 10-11psi without hitting fuel cut (as I mentioned, I'm not...

    Test Pipe?

At that price, it sounds like that was the axle-back exhaust, not the cat-back.

    Test Pipe?

From what I've read, the Blitz is longer because it was designed for the CA emissions cars. I don't know whether that is fact, but I did ask Randy from BIC to shorten the test pipe I ordered to fit the Blitz system. He said he would need to cut the test pipe 1" shorter. Also, the Blitz is...

    bic ddp question

I have hit fuel cut at stock boost after installing the BIC DDP, test pipe, and Blitz cat-back. When it was warmer, it was fine and boost would usually creep from the stock 6psi to 8-9psi. However, once the cooler weather settled in, I hit fuel cut consistently in 2nd and 3rd gear as boost...

    Standard BOV/Dump Valve

BOVs are universal. You'll need to get the HKS-specific mounting flange attached to your upper intercooler pipe, though.

    Standard BOV/Dump Valve

It's okay, you beat me in the other BOV thread. There does seem to be quite a few of them popping up lately.

    Standard BOV/Dump Valve

Well, I'm assuming you know what a blow-off valve does. If you don't: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blowoff_valve The two big connections allow air to flow from from the IC pipes, through the BPV, and back to the intake (pre-turbo). The small connection is the vacuum source from the intake...

    atmospheric bov and maf system

Yes, it will only run rich when you let off the throttle. And if you have it adjusted correctly (i.e. not leaking), then it should be fine during idle, acceleration, and normal driving.

    turning boost up?

Sorry, that's the DSMer in me talking; we typically run the boost control source off the intake manifold instead of the compressor housing of the turbo. :D But on the topic of Supras, you do have it worded better.

    turning boost up?

Oops, I meant to say "if it has no vacuum source" instead of signal. :)
