well i haven't updated this in forever and the thread was closed to reply and post more so i'll start over and post the major stuff....
bought the car like a year and so ago for $500 w/ a blown HG....
imedately i started tearing it apart and since it needs a new paint job, i got the hood...
i did the same thing and mine is doing exactly what your describing.... but it gave that code when i unplugged it and i think a 31 when it was plugged in....
i'll be down to meet in mt.airy (only like 20-25min) but i'll be racing in cumberland 9/20... plus my mk3 isn't legal yet so i would come up in my IS if thats cool
i see, i guess we'll see what happens. thanks for the info. the smoke stopped though once i flushed the coolant system and changed the oil again. it is running very smoothly but just has a few leaks to fix. i'm going to get a compression check, make sure everything is dialed in and than dyno it...
its leaking fuel still off the fuel rail near the fire wall :bored: and one of the oil leaks are still bad :rant:. and when its running for a lil bit, it starts leaking coolant back somewhere by the firewall :rant:

alternator back on...
it was smoking reall bad so i changed the oil for the 3rd time after the head change, flushed the collant, addednew coolant, new alternator positioning bolt and wa-la, it stopped smoking real bad. we pulled it out of the garage again to check for leaks and stuff better...

some pics of starting to fiberglass the dash....
the dash cracked and broke when i ripped it out so i had to reconnect it...

resined the front part to set the cloth...
resigned the rest and laid the second cloth for the passenger side...
i decided to start tearing down the dash to re fab it up and get rid of the baby poo brown fake leather that was a pain in the ass since it was all dry rotted. i plan on using the basic shell of the stock dash but fiberglassing it and molding the center peice more angled at the drive fo better...
putting motor back together after replacing the head and i fall upon 2 wires that seem to have been ripped off from the connector from the privious owner when he started tearing it apart.... one i know is for the rear knock sensor... there are also 2 connectors i don't know where they go...

does anyone have pics of like the lay out or anything. the only diagram i could find sucks and is really confusing and doesn;t show it clear.... the dude i got the car from...
kinda new to the supra thing, mainly work with porsches and i do alot of stereos....
the timing cover plate is the metal peice behind the cams?
and does that hurt anything if u don't run that or where would u cut it so it doen't lift the HG?
