I'm looking for the part number or a proper description of the little rubber part that goes on the hood stop?
mine are quite aged and busted up.
Anyone have an idea of the part number or the description?
Thanks guys
Yeah, i'll introduce myself next supra meet. :icon_surp
Also... Problem ended up being my Apexi SAFC2. Apparently it died... was not sending any voltage out for the ecu to read. So i just disconnected it and the supra is back running.:biglaugh::biglaugh:
Thanks for all the help guys!
ISC - extend wires, use 2JZGE ISC - There's no way the stock wires will reach the ISC as it is way over on teh exhaust side of the head, I just extended the wires, the plugs are the same on both cars, I didn't check the wiring, but I assue it's the same.
For the 2jz TPS wiring
Ground...
Thanks Mike!
I will add those to my list.
I will have to find the link. I got the wiring directions from here on the board for both the isc and tps. They have been working perfectly sense june 2008.
I'll find the link and post it up.
Again, Thanks for all the ideas guys!
Hopefully...
I'm using 7mgte stock electroincs to run the 2jz, except for the idle speed control valve and the tps. Everything else is 7m.
I am only getting 1 code, which could be the problem, but I'm wanting to make a list of things for me to check.
(im from the anniston/oxford area) I saw your supra at...
I need some ideas of all possible causes/problems that would cause your engine to run lean off of idle.
When i free rev, from idle, the engine stumbls (runs lean) and the rpms drop. I can't get it to rev any higher than 1100 rpm.
The idle is perfect, as smooth as it has ever been. Fresh...
Hey guys,
What voltage should my TPS show at idle? (reading it from a safc 2)
2jzge TPS
Also, what should my AFL show at idle?
stock 7mgte MAF
Thanks guys!
Its not throwing the 24 any longer.
Still getting the 51 though.
What type of voltage should i see from the tps at idle? (voltage display on my apexi safc 2)
thanks
I reset the codes and it threw the 51 again.
On my AFC i am seeing voltage from the tps. roughly .7 at idle.
I am seeing nothing from AFL on the afc.
When ever i touch the gas, my wideband shows the motor going lean, and it almost dies.
Any thought , ideas, comments?
Thanks guys:cry:
after letting the car sit for about 2 hours with the battery disconnected...
It will idle by its self now, but when ever i touch the throttle, it will bog and almost die. It will recover back to idle by its self now.
My wideband is showing very lean now, 19.6ish at idle... :1zhelp:
now...
I was driving and the engine shut off when i mashed in the clutch when pulling up at a stop sign. I got it to start back up, but it wouldn't idle on its own. I had to give it 4% throttle to keep it ideling. I pulled over and checked stuff, adjusted settings on my afc and i got it to idle at 500...
Thanks for the info!
Whats the fastest way of checking to see if i need a new starter or if i need a new relay?
Would it be possible to "add a relay via wire taps to make a temp. connection to bypass the starter circuit?
that would show or eliminate the starter as the problem, correct...
It is just like the time i left the starter wire off of the starter... lol
Just hear the tick of the relay?
On a side note, what type of voltage should i get on a meter if i go between the starter wire and the starter. (signal wire) (not B+ wire)
Thanks for the ideas guys. I do not see how a bad alt would cause this problem. (bad battery would be different a case)

which VSV is used for hot starts?
25860 17650
You have any ideas Jetjock? I know your an electronics...
:1zhelp:
I am confused to what the problem could be.
The supra doesn't want to start after its been driven for a long time. (everything is nice and toasty under the hood)
When i turn the key to start, I can hear a(what sounds like a relay on the passenger side kick panel area) click...
