So what would cause a high HC when tested? I passed my 15mph with 1 point of HC before it failed. Would that just be because it was burning too much oil in the engine?
The harness is use to retain the stock wire. If you have a TSRM or visit one of the site that has it, get to the ignition section and print out the wiring diagram and test the wire for voltage when key is turn to ACC and ON. Then follow the instruction from the timer manufacture and splice it...
What is the benefit of getting rid of the EGR?
The 30 mins warm up for the cat is true. The shop that I got my car smog at will ask you if have have been driven it for a long time before getting to the shop for testing. I had my car on the freeway at 70 mph for a while and take the inside...
Ding...ding...ding...
You are in fact correct about the bluish smoke out the pipe, and it smell nasty too if the wind blow it back into the car.
I am cleaning the IC now, i did it with one bottle of carb cleaner, then now with one engine degreaser... anf then flush it with cold water for...
The lable on my tank is still there but the ink is half gone, especially where it say what to use so I use PS fluid instead. When I refill the ps fluid, I think it use almost 3/4 quart or more.
Now why did you put tranny in there instead of using something like valvoline PS fluid? I replaced my oil tube 3 days ago and replaced the fluid with valvoline max life ps and it make sound when you turn it on but it doesn't shake. Just turn the wheel left and right to bleed the air out, did...
It doesn't burn white smoke out the rear when I decel with the new turbo on it. Mine is an auto :( so it's possible for me to blow my HG as I don't rev it that high. However, when I put it in R and back it out of the driveway and then back into D it puff smoke. I got the IC off now and gona be...
I don't think it's the rings, I did compression test before and they were 165, 165, 155, 165, 165, 165. Not sure if compression test also tell what state the valve is in so I am not sure on that. I'll clean the IC out and see what happen after.
My old turbo had bad oil seal so there are oil vapor in the IC. I changed the turbo to a 60-1 CT26 and it's still burning oil at accelleration after idle at red light. When I was on the freeway stuck in traffic, the car puff smoke almost constantly.
Is the smoke coming from the oil still in...
I took my 91 turbo out with a newly installed 60-1 CT26 on it for a drive to adjust the boost level down so I don't overboost. So after i drove it for awhile to get it all warm up I floor the gas after the red light and it rev to 3500 rpm and then the car stutter twice like it hit fuel cut, I...
Ok I took it out for a really long drive of about 90 miles and my turbo timer work great with my factory alarm system w/o setting it off when shut down. However I went back to redo the spd wire, basically remove the crim and splice the wire directly in, and when it fire up the car idle at 1500...
I put some clean oil on the seal and shove it back in and give it firm pressure. I didn't bang it with a mallet as that wouldn't really do much since it's already in all the way and didn't seem to stick out or anything.
I followed the layout base on the 22 pins with 11 on top and splice in my spd wire and it doesn't work. I spliced it on the 9th wire from the right of the one with one open pin slot. The color was pink with gray dot on it.
I got to the TSRM and found the SPD that I am gona splice into for the Greddy TT but I am kinda confuse here. Is the picture looking at the harness from the front of the ECU? I thought it was the back so I think I plice the wrong wire and I am gona have to redo it.
It doesn't take that long or hard to remove those two seals. I did mine a while back and it took me half a min for the first one and two min for the second b/c it was stuck in there more :). Basically you take something that is bendable but is also stiff enough that it won't bend back straigh...
Hi guys, my car recently started spitting out oils after driving for a while when it is park. I went down there to check to see if the camshaft oil seal that I changed two month ago broke or something but it turn out that the oil is coming out from all the old oil line. I squeze the braided line...
I am changing out my old turbo with busted oil seal for a 60-1, yet to be install. Is a FPR required, or can I just run it with stock everything with a MBC that I am building? My injectors is clean with the Lucas thing every time I fuel up. My bro tried to change out the fuel pump and fuel...
